Honor Magic 9 series locks September 28 launch with dual 200MP ARRI cameras

Honor has locked September 28 as the Magic 9 series launch date, and pre-orders are already live for the ARRI-backed camera flagships.

The Magic 9 family is pitched as jointly developed with ARRI, built around a dual 200MP ultra-clear imaging stack aimed at clean daytime and night shots plus strong near-to-far reach. Pre-order pages are treating that camera story as the headline rather than a soft teaser.

The main camera is listed as a 200MP ARRI unit with an f/1.57 aperture on a 1/1.28-inch sensor. Sitting beside it is a 200MP ARRI super-night telephoto with an f/2.6 aperture on a large 1/1.4-inch sensor, which is an unusually big tele module on paper.

Honor is also pushing a Photography Master Kit for longer telephoto work. The kit highlights a 500mm Honor telephoto extender billed as a first, plus a shorter 200mm extender that measures about 81mm long and weighs 88g, with creative stills showing free video switching and extended zoom.

Chipset, battery, and price cards are still light ahead of September 28. The dual 200MP ARRI pair and the extender kit are the concrete hardware beats for now.

We will update this story when Honor posts full retail specs and pricing.
