Welcome to microphones.expert – it's more than just a Mic!

Whether it's basic knowledge on the subject of microphones, purchase recommendations for a specific area of application (e.g. podcast or vocal recording at home) or reviews of individual microphones and product groups: on microphones.expert we try to cover as broad a spectrum as possible.

However, one thing is important for us to emphasise: This website is primarily aimed at hobbyists up to semi-professional users, for example YouTubers and the Podcast community, who earn money with their content or at least aspire to do so. Accordingly, the contributions are limited to the most important information. Event technicians or trainees in sound engineering are of course also welcome, but there may be a lack of depth here and there.
