I use Plezy on my Linux laptop as the client for Plex, after Plex stopped bothering with the official clients.

I use the Plex app on my phone, and Plex app on Roku, Tried Kodi but it just didn't float my boat as a client. Jellyfin still has a lot to do for me, but as I have a Plex Lifetime pass, given to me by a friend, there's no reason for me to switch or my users, just switch players on the PC much easier, and Plezy has everything you need and can be linked to trakt and Simkl for keeping track of everything watched.

I've proved this time and time infinitum, where a family member or friend has persuaded one and just plugged it in and then wondered why their speed upstairs was pants! If I had £1 for each one I've fixed, I'd be able to retire early 😉

I've fixed issues by just connecting an ethernet and laid it along the skirting board or sent it through the window frame downstairs to the frame upstairs then connected a mesh device to the ethernet where t the WiFi signal has vastly improved and speed has improved to the same throughput as downstairs, with the added bonus of adding Ethernet to rooms that have game consoles or PCs etc that keep the GigE speeds and less congestion to the WiFi only devices.

This has to be one of the best articles and explains everything that happens in a real world environment not the "Theoretical ' one that companies advertise on the boxes of those devices.

I've been running Sniffnet on my Plex server for a while now, and it's running on Ubuntu without any issues.

I've spotted a bunch of IP addresses and servers that g for some reason my ISP shows through, countries like China and then there's the IP addresses of the users that content to my server, and it's with this great little app I found my ISP was using binding, which was over if the reasons I had remote access issues in Plex to the outside world which I soon fixed!

Derek I read it, tried it and hated it, I've disabled the original SwiftKey app preinstalled on this device and gone with what I find easy for me.

Typeless keyboards are annoying, talking to your Device is... Yes I know talking to your Device is like talking to your spouse/partner, but it used to be great as it never answered you back, now you can guarantee it'll suggest something you don't really want in your text/work, AI is 💩 and this is from a registered blind/severely sight impaired smartphone user. The hype and the bubble are about to pop.

Anyway, GBoard has Typeless functionality, and I still don't use it, it's got handwriting functionality, again I don't use it.... If I wanted to be Montgomery Scott from Star Trek I'll pick my nose up and day "Hello Computer, why don't you answer me you..... Oh it's a pointing device, much cooler than having it answer you back!"

Why just Kubuntu? There's Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Lubuntu and they're all good, but MATE is the one I get new users to try first, Cinnamon is not the be all of DE's, KDE can feel over the top users that don't want to much customising, GNOME has it's place once it's tweaked.

MATE with the Dock is clean and users can add the applications they use daily to the dock and have it a hybrid MacOS and Windows'esque looking.

I agree pure Debian can be way too steep of a learning curve, and this is definitely where Ubuntu, Mint and Zorin come in to the fold. All have their strengths where needed, all use apt and have software stores, but adding Flatpak to them is a real benefit

htop, btop err sensors, umm.. those with Nvidia cards nvtop or nvidia-smi... There's tons for the Terminal but I still wouldn't point total Noobs to the terminal, there's loads in the GUI also!
