Why Every #Speaker Needs a “Digital Coach” and Why I Chose #SpeakerPlusAI™ 🎤 A great talk feels effortless, but behind the scenes it’s data, rehearsal, and ruthless feedback loops. After three TEDx stages this year, here’s what SpeakerPlusAI uncovered for me 👇 5 Evidence-Backed Insights from My Reports 1️⃣ Story Density Wins. Emotion-anchored narratives lifted audience recall by 42 % over stat-only segments. 2️⃣ Explicit Sign-Posts Matter. Talks with clear “First…Next…Finally” phrasing boosted note-taking and post-event shares. 3️⃣ Optimal WPM = 160–170. Crossing 180 WPM cut comprehension by a full point on live polls. 4️⃣ Slide Simplicity Rule. ≤ 6 words or 1 image per slide nearly doubled audience eye-contact time. 5️⃣ Pauses > Filler. A 2-second silence after a key stat scored higher than any “um, you know.” 👉 SpeakerPlusAI surfaced these patterns from thousands of data points—far faster (and kinder!) than any human coach. How You Can Leverage It 🔹 Upload a rehearsal video → get a granular rubric score (behavior, pace, visuals, etc.). 🔹 Benchmark yourself against TED-level talks. 🔹 Target one micro-habit per week (e.g., gesture variety) and watch the dashboard trend upward. I’m challenging every keynote speaker, sales leader, professor, and startup founder: run your next presentation through SpeakerPlusAI before you step on stage. 👥 Tag a colleague who’s prepping a talk, share your biggest speaking struggle in the comments, and let’s crowd-source solutions. Let’s make stages smarter—one data-driven insight at a time. #PublicSpeaking #AItools #SpeakerPlusAI #PresentationSkills #Leadership #ContinuousImprovement #DrGPT

You can use AI to level up your speaking skills… And the results are pretty incredible: I turned AI into my own personal speaking coach using a custom prompt and Google AI Studio. Here’s how it works: - Record yourself practicing a talk - Upload the talk to Google AI Studio with prompt - AI analyzes it for tone, pacing, delivery & more The level of analysis it provided was FANTASTIC. (Like having a pro watch your every move.) It caught things I never would have noticed: - Timestamps of my best moments… - Exactly when my energy peaked… - Where I nailed my stats and examples… - And a ton of other areas to focus on or improve. Even cooler, I then used it to compare performance across multiple practice runs… So I actually was able to immediately use the feedback to dramatically improve each time. The best part? Zero judgment, pure objectivity. Pictured is the full prompt I used👇 (Drop it into ChatGPT, etc. and convert to text.) PS - You can also modify this to practice client calls, team updates, or internal presentations.

🎤 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐕𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐮𝐦. 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐋𝐌 𝐚𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡. I gave my first public speech in 8th grade at the encouragement of my father, Bowman Olds. To this day I remember my shaking hands, my 3x5 inch note cards and practicing repeatedly in front of the mirror. Over the years I have been able to do away with the notecards and organizations like Toastmasters International helped me to refine my skills. For those of you that are speakers, you know the feeling. You have a deck full of data and a script full of technical jargon. You know the material, but you are not sure if it will actually "land" with your audience. Usually, we practice in front of a mirror or a recorded video. But mirrors do not give feedback, and recordings do not ask questions. 💡 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸’𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗔𝗜 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗟𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀-𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. 🧠 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗟𝗠 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰 Many speakers use AI to help them write and research. The real power, however, is using it to listen. By uploading your draft or transcript, you can see how an intelligent "listener" interprets your message. 🎙️ 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 1️⃣ The "Analogy Generator" Upload your technical transcript. Ask: "I am explaining [Complex Term]. Give me three analogies that a non-technical audience would understand immediately." The Result: You move from "abstract concepts" to "relatable stories" that the audience will remember. 2️⃣ The Interactive Rehearsal Generate an Audio Overview of your own speech. Listen to it during your morning routine. Hearing the AI "deep dive" into your topics helps you hear the gaps in your logic and reinforces your own talking points. 3️⃣ From Text to Infographic If you have a section of your speech that is heavy on process or data, use the Studio tool to generate an "Infographic" summary. 4️⃣ Simulate Audience Q&A NotebookLM can generate "tough questions" an audience might ask, leaving you feeling more prepared for questions. Finally, it becomes a great rehearsal tool as you head to your speech. You cannot practice your speech while you are in line at the airport or sitting in your seat on the airplane, but you can listen to podcasters talk about it which only reinforces for you as you head to your engagement. ✅ The Takeaway Great speaking is not about what you say; it is about what the audience hears. NotebookLM acts as a bridge between your expertise and their understanding. 💬 Your Turn What is the most difficult concept you have ever had to explain to an audience? 👇 #GenAI #PublicSpeaking #NotebookLM #PresentationTips

How AI is Changing Leadership Communication: The Future of Influence and Connection In a world where leadership is as much about influence as it is about decision-making, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is redefining how leaders communicate, engage, and inspire. From real-time speech coaching to AI-driven emotional intelligence, the way leaders convey their message is evolving faster than ever. 1. AI-Powered Speech & Presentation Coaching Gone are the days of rehearsing speeches in front of the mirror. Today, AI-driven tools like Yoodli, Orai, and Poised analyze tone, pace, and filler words, helping leaders refine their communication skills in real-time. The result? More impactful speeches and presentations that command attention. 2. Real-Time Sentiment Analysis for Decision-Making AI tools now gauge audience reactions through sentiment analysis, tracking facial expressions and voice modulation. Leaders can receive instant feedback on how their message is landing—allowing them to pivot their approach dynamically. 3. AI-Generated Personalized Communication ChatGPT, Jasper, and Bard are making it easier for leaders to craft personalized messages at scale—whether it’s an email to employees, an investor pitch, or a LinkedIn post. AI ensures the tone remains authentic while optimizing clarity and engagement. 4. Virtual Assistants for Enhanced Productivity With AI-powered virtual assistants like ChatGPT, Otter.ai, and GrammarlyGO, leaders can automate note-taking, draft responses, and generate key takeaways from meetings—freeing up time for strategic decision-making instead of administrative tasks. 5. AI in Crisis Communication & Reputation Management Reputations are built—or broken—in moments of crisis. AI tools can scan social media and news trends, predict potential PR risks, and even suggest crisis response strategies before issues escalate. 6. AI-Enhanced Cross-Cultural Communication As businesses expand globally, leaders often face language and cultural barriers. AI-powered translation tools like DeepL and Google Translate help bridge communication gaps in real-time, ensuring clarity and cultural sensitivity. The Big Question: Does AI Replace or Enhance Leadership Communication? AI is not here to replace human connection but to enhance it. The leaders who will thrive in this AI-driven era are those who blend technology with emotional intelligence, storytelling, and authenticity. Final Thought: Are You AI-Ready? As a leader, embracing AI in communication isn’t just an option—it’s a necessity. How are you leveraging AI to enhance your leadership presence? Share your thoughts in the comments!
