Stanley Made My LinkedIn Posts Take 3X Longer (And That's Actually Good!) A week ago, I became the first customer of Stanley, the new AI creative companion for LinkedIn by Vitalii Dodonov and John Hu (thanks guys!!) I thought AI might save me time on LinkedIn posts. But now I spend MORE time on them than ever Here's why that's the best thing that happened to my content... Before AI: 20 minutes to write a mediocre post After AI: 60 minutes crafting something I'm actually proud of (And performs much better! My first post with Stanley got 15,000 views) The difference? AI didn't replace my thinking - it amplified it. Here's what nobody tells you about AI for content: ✅ You'll generate 10X more ideas (and spend time choosing the best) ✅ You'll explore angles you never considered (and rabbit hole on research)   ✅ You'll polish every sentence (because now you have no excuse not to) I used to write one draft and hit publish. Now? I'm iterating like a software developer: Version 1: AI helps brainstorm Version 2: We refine the hook together Version 3: I add my personal stories Version 4: AI suggests structural improvements Version 5: I polish until it sings The paradox: AI gives you superpowers, but with great power comes... way more time perfecting your craft. Overall, my engagement is up 3X and I’ve really enjoyed having more, better conversations in the comments. Turns out, when you use AI as a creative partner instead of a shortcut, you don't save time. You invest it. You stop settling for "good enough" and start chasing "what's the best I can really do here?" So Stanley taught me this: the future isn't about AI making content creation faster. It's about AI making creators better. And that takes time. Beautiful, productive, game-changing time. Who else is spending MORE time on content since AI came along? 👇 - Rob (w/ Stanley) P.S. ♻️ Sharing is caring :)

AI has made it easier than ever to produce content quickly, clearly, and at scale. The challenge, however, is that the same efficiency that improves output can also quietly dilute originality if it is not used intentionally. Over time, it becomes easy to rely on AI not just for structure or refinement, but for direction itself. When that happens, the work may appear polished and coherent, but it often begins to lose distinction. It sounds correct, but not necessarily personal. It communicates, but it does not always connect. Maintaining your voice in this environment requires a deliberate approach. It starts with ensuring that your thinking comes before the tool. When AI becomes the starting point, it shapes the narrative in ways that are subtle but significant. When your ideas lead, AI can support, refine, and expand them without replacing them. It is also important to use AI as a way to challenge your perspective rather than substitute it. Asking better questions, testing assumptions, and refining clarity can elevate your thinking, but the core ideas should still originate from you. Equally important is the editing process. While AI can improve clarity and structure, it cannot replicate your tone, your emphasis, or the nuances that make your communication recognizable. Preserving those elements requires intentional adjustment rather than blind acceptance of generated output. There is also value in knowing when to stop refining. Over-optimization often removes the very elements that make content feel human. Not everything needs to be perfectly structured to be effective, especially when authenticity is what creates connection. Ultimately, the goal is not just to produce more, but to produce work that remains distinctly yours. AI can enhance your output, but only if it is used in a way that supports your voice rather than replaces it. When you look at your recent work, does it sound more like you, or more like the tool you are using? #AI #ContentCreation #PersonalBrand #Creativity #FutureOfWork

  • AI won’t make you a better creator. But it will make a great one unstoppable. Most people use AI the wrong way: They want it to write for them. To do the thinking. To replace their voice. But the real power? It’s in using AI to elevate your thinking — not replace it. Here’s how the pros use it: ✅ Start with your raw draft ↳ Your words, your insight, your experience ✅ Then ask AI to refine, not reinvent ↳ Clarify ideas ↳ Sharpen the structure ↳ Add punch where it matters ✅ Keep full control ↳ Don’t let it guess your voice — train it with your truth The most powerful AI content starts human. And ends polished. It’s not about outsourcing your message. It’s about upgrading your delivery. So stop asking AI to “write something for you.” Start showing up with something worth enhancing. That’s how you create content that connects. With speed — and soul.

Where AI truly excels is in collaboration, not just automation. Treating AI as a one-time solution means missing its real value. When you embrace AI as a partner, you unlock exponential growth in your creativity, productivity, and problem-solving.   1️ Ask better questions. Instead of asking, "What are the best ways to market a product?" ask, "What are three unconventional marketing strategies for a B2B SaaS product targeting mid-sized companies in the aerospace industry?" The specificity and context enable AI to provide tailored, actionable ideas.   2️ Use AI to challenge your assumptions. For example, if you believe that a premium price point is the best approach for your new product, ask AI, "What are the potential risks of a premium pricing strategy, and what alternative models could we explore?" AI can reveal ideas you may not have considered, like tiered pricing or freemium models.   3️ Think beyond text.  For instance, if you’re preparing a pitch for a new business proposal, use AI to: generate a professional slide deck outline, create data visualizations for your performance metrics, and write code for a demo prototype. AI’s versatility extends far beyond just content creation.   4️ Close the feedback loop.  For example, when drafting a marketing email, the first draft from AI might read, "Save time with our tool." You can refine it using feedback: "Make this more engaging for time-pressed professionals, focusing on productivity benefits." The next iteration might transform into: "Reclaim your time—our tool helps you accomplish more in less time, allowing you to focus on what truly matters." Continue iterating until it aligns with your audience’s needs.   5️ Blend strengths.  For example, when creating a whitepaper for your company, let AI research and generate a structured outline, and draft sections based on your prompts. You can then add expertise, real-world examples, and polish the narrative. While AI accelerates the foundational work, you provide the depth and insight.

Will GenAI displace artists? New research out shows that professional artists are able to make better use of GenAI, signalling complementarity. Big result! These tools, accessible through natural language prompts, have drastically lowered the barrier to creating professional-level text and visual art. While the debate continues about their broader implications, they are undeniably reshaping the relationship between expertise, creativity, and technology. We've seen that GenAI models have demonstrated the capacity to outperform humans in *certain* creative tasks. Some studies have shown AI's potential for creativity, while others highlight humans' edge in imaginative outputs. Despite mixed results, the ability to craft sophisticated outputs with minimal input—AKA "prompt engineering"—has become a skill in itself. Image generation tools, in particular, are seeing rapid adoption among both professionals and amateurs. Artists utilize these tools to explore new styles and improve quality, while hobbyists use them for entertainment or experimental purposes. However, as AI becomes more capable of generating indistinguishable content, there are questions about the future of expertise and the boundaries between professional and amateur creators. Research is beginning to find that professional artists can maintain an edge in using generative AI tools. Their prompts tend to be richer, incorporating specific references to style, genre, or medium, resulting in superior outputs. This underscores the ongoing relevance of traditional artistic knowledge and skills, even in an AI-driven workflow. While generative AI democratizes access to content creation, experts are better equipped to harness its full potential, blending traditional skills with technological fluency. The integration of AI into creative industries has sparked concerns about job displacement and ethical considerations. Studies, such as those by Demirci et al. (2023), reveal significant reductions in freelance job postings for writing and visual arts following the advent of generative AI tools. But if AI adoption is linked to increased artistic productivity and novel outputs, then there's a potential for complementarity and growing the pie. Traditional skills remain foundational, but integrating AI tools into training can enhance creative potential and open new avenues for expression. This blend of traditional and AI-driven methods—referred to as "collaborative intelligence" (Mollick, 2024)—may redefine the future of artistic work. As AI tools continue to integrate into artistic workflows, the balance between traditional skills and technological fluency will determine the evolution of the creative professions. #GenerativeAI #AIArt #CreativeInnovation #ArtificialIntelligence #ArtEducation #DigitalTransformation
