The webinar will be held on April 8. Several government contractors have recently reported receiving unsolicited emails warning them that their SAM.gov registrations are about to be deactivated. These emails are NOT from the federal government — and contractors should not pay for any services they offer. The domain samsregistration.com is not affiliated with SAM.gov, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), or any other federal agency. It belongs to a third-party company that uses urgency and official-sounding language to pressure contractors into purchasing registration assistance or renewal services — services that are entirely unnecessary and available free of charge directly through SAM.gov. Registering and renewing your SAM.gov record has never required payment to any outside vendor. The official SAM.gov system sends renewal reminders from @gsa.gov or @sam.gov email addresses. Any other sender should be treated with caution. Do not click links or provide payment information in response to emails from samsregistration.com or similar third-party senders. If you have already paid for services through one of these companies, contact your bank or credit card provider to review the charges.
