Krones modernized legacy fluid simulation workflows for high-speed bottle filling by integrating high-fidelity CFD directly into a real-time digital twin. Using Ansys Fluent’s native GPU solver on Microsoft Azure, NVIDIA H100 GPUs, and NVIDIA Omniverse-based visualization, the team reduced simulation cycles from 1–2 hours down to 10–15 minutes. The result: faster iteration on turbulent, uncapped liquid flows, real-time scenario comparison via a custom React-based UI, and materially less water waste and cost. This scalable, cloud-native setup now serves as a foundation for expanding digital twin adoption across production assets—bringing simulation and analysis in line with operational decision-making.
