A fantastic evening on 6 May 2026, at the ABP Bodyshop Awards, celebrating 20 years of BS 10125 and the positive impact it continues to have across the vehicle repair industry. One of the highlights was recognising the people and organisations who have helped shape the journey of BS 10125 over the past two decades through the “20 Years: Partners in Progress” awards, presented by Rob Hine. Minimizing emissions in the antibiotic manufacturing process is critical to reducing the impact of AMR in the environment. Since the 2016 Declaration on Combatting AMR, AMRIA has significantly reduced environmental emissions by developing an independently certifiable standard that ensures responsible manufacturing standards. Today, AMRIA’s standard has been included in the valuation of products within national procurement systems. Certification gives manufacturers a clear framework and gives procurement agencies, policymakers, and patients a signal they can trust. World Day for Safety and Health at Work Today is about the moments you don’t plan for at work, the sudden impact, the unexpected splash, the conditions that change in seconds. In those moments, PPE isn’t a standard or a checklist. It’s something you’re wearing, right then, to protect you. In our Hemel Hempstead laboratories, safety eyewear is hit, fogged and exposed to real world conditions. It’s tested on different head shapes and faces because people aren’t all built the same and PPE needs to fit properly and perform when it counts. The BSI Kitemark shows that this testing doesn’t happen just once. It means PPE has been independently tested and continues to be checked, giving people confidence that what they’re wearing has been proven to perform in the real world.
