Your Ticket to Content Marketing Stardom

I’ve always wondered- are creative writing classes useful? Creativity cannot be taught; it must come from within someone.

That was until I learned about formulaic creativity.

Take screenwriting, for example. While writing a play/script, your story must be divided into three acts- the introduction, the middle, and the end, each having its must-have features.

Now, as long as you stick to this formula, no matter if you write literary fiction or a tragedy, you can connect to your audience.

Taking the same concept to content marketing, this is precisely what industry agnosticism is. In short, we need certain common skills while creating content for various industries.

Now, how do you cultivate this mindset?

  • Keep an open mind: Don't be afraid to explore different industries and topics. You never know what inspiration you might find.

  • Research, research, research: Knowledge is power, and the more you learn about different industries, the better you'll be able to create content that resonates with a diverse audience.

  • Focus on the audience: Know your customer inside out. What are their pain points? What are they looking for?

(A useful trick here is to write down everything you know about the customer and flesh them out slowly like a character in a story!)

  • Stay curious: Be bold and ask questions and seek out new information. Curiosity is a valuable trait in content marketing, and it can lead to some fantastic insights and ideas.

Not only does an industry-agnostic mindset help you make more money and get you an increased variety of clients, but it also helps you branch out into other roles, such as coaching, strategy, and consulting. You can also mentor others and develop a solid research methodology.

So, be like the Swiss Army knife of content marketers – versatile, adaptable, and always ready for action.

By embracing this approach, you can unlock new levels of success and leave a lasting impact on the content marketing world.

Hey, who knows? You might even become the Rajnikant of content marketing!
