Towards authentic assessment and future skills
What is an ‘authentic assessment’?
At this year’s Assessment Horizons conference, we brought together a panel of education experts to explore some of the complexities around authentic assessment (and what it means!) and to discuss future skills and inclusive, meaningful learning experiences.
Read the key reflections from our speakers, Dee Arp, Rebecca Dowbiggin, James Beadle and Paul Ellis here: https://lnkd.in/eM7bsMQG
Predicting student performance
'...by combining data from different tests, and using our knowledge of statistics, we can get more from the data. For example, maybe the grade predictions can help to motivate the students, or support them when thinking about future subject choices.'
In a new article on our blog, Matthew Carroll, Senior Researcher at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, examines how assessment data can inform us about the future and the care required in interpreting these predictions.
