DESIGN THINKING

Design Thinking is an approach that is designed to solve problems and develop new ideas. The goal is to find solutions that are convincing from user perspective. In contrast to other innovation methods, design thinking cannot be described as a method or process, but as an approach based on the three basic principles of team, space, and process. [creativity17]

THEORIE

Design Thinking is developed based on the assumption that problems can be better solved, if people from different disciplines work together in a creativity-enhancing environment. The needs of motivations of people, and then develop concepts that are tested several times. The procedure is based on the work of designers, who are a combination of understanding, observation, Refinement, execution, and learning. Design Thinking means "Any process that applies to the industry of industrial designers to problems beyond what a product should look". According to a different understanding. [fpsp17]

ORIGINAL DESIGN THINKING:

The concept of design as a "way of thinking" in the sciences can be traced in the books of The Science of Artificial, and in the construction of Robert McKim's 1973 book experiences in Visual Thinking. [desi17]

Peter Rowe in design thinking book described the methods and approaches used by architects and city planners, which was a significant literature. Rolf Faste on McKim's initially use of the term expanded into design research at Stanford. "Design Thinking As a method of creative teaching action. They believed "Design thinking for business and purposes was adapted by Faste Stanford colleague David M. Kelley who founded IDEO in 1991. Richard Buchanan's 1992 article" Wicked Problems in Design Thinking ". A broader view of design thinking is indissoluble human concern through design discussing. [abeb17]

How Does Design Thinking Work?

Design Thinking = innovative thinking to find new solutions to complex challenges.

The challenges of today's markets are too complex to be mastered by a single inventor, a department, or even a single company. This is the reason why collaborative approaches such as Open Innovation, Open Source, and tools like Web 2.0 are so successful. [dscho17]

Thinking is also about teamwork. The essential basis of each design thinking process is a team, which is composed of different disciplines, subdivisions, and hierarchical levels, as well as internal and external members. Through the mixing of the disciplines, the strengths of such teams are not only the development of their individual content and methodological characteristics, but also the various angles and experiences that each member brings. The people who form this team must have certain characteristics: the so-called T-profile. [sucss17]

The vertical bar stands for the depth of the specific and analytical knowledge that the individual brings from his discipline into the project. The horizontal bar denotes the other, decisive feature: one's own interest, the openness to other disciplines, other people, the world, and the ability to connect one's own knowledge to another, to send it, and to find a common language, which moves beyond one's own professional language.

To promote this openness in real work, some factors such as the communication and creativity of the team, the shape of the spatial environment for the design Thinking-Process is needed. [STAN17] "To create meaningful innovations, it is needed to know your users and take care of their lives"

Conclusion

  1. Design thinking is a problem-solving mindset that companies and organization adapt to obtain a creative and innovative solution to the problems.
  2. Although the process is complex, the different transitions from face-to-face is achievable if team members have necessary information access.
  3. It places customer firmly at the center so that they play a vital role in innovation and development process
