The #1 challenge for new (and experienced) coaches

The #1 challenge for new (and experienced) coaches

I did a survey of coaches this past year and one hot-button issue mentioned over and over was this....

How do I get coaching clients?

Whether you’ve started a private coaching practice or you are coaching in your organization, paid or not, there comes a point where you need to find people to coach.

In our coaching training, we equipped you to become a trained and certified coach. But building a roster of coaching clients requires a different skill set.

It requires marketing.

For many of us, when we think about marketing, the first thing that comes to mind is self-promotion. We need to convince clients that we are the big deal. This isn't true. Let me share a story...

I once had a guy interrupt me during an initial call about coaching together. He asked, "What exactly are you going to do for me?

I broke rule #1 of marketing: Clients want results, not you.

I had been talking about the coaching process and my qualifications. What he really wanted to know is if I could help him with his problem. I learned an important lesson: don’t sell coaching, sell client results.

I’m sure you’re a nice person. But clients aren’t going to pay to spend time with you!

Potential clients may have a specific goal in mind. Or a troublesome pain point they want to eliminate. Either way they are looking for a future result.

Once we realize it’s not about us, we are free to offer our services without fear. Because our message is about the results our clients will achieve through coaching.

Okay, so how do we do it?

I reached out to my friend, Mike Kim, to create a step-by-step program for coaches. Mike is a former pastor and an expert in personal branding and marketing.

The online course, LAUNCH YOUR COACHING PRACTICE, includes 6 practical and easy-to-follow modules. Work through it anytime, anywhere. All you need is an Internet connection.

You'll learn how to promote your coaching practice without being pushy or "salesy." Remember, you're focusing on the results your client is looking for.

Mike will give you the tools to get more clients, build authority, and create buy-in for your coaching services.

This week I have a special offer for you.

I put together the Essential Marketing Bundle. It includes LAUNCH YOUR COACHING PRACTICE and my new, PRICE YOUR COACHING SERVICES course. Together they will give you the tools to grow your coaching practice.

Your bundle cost is: $247 for both courses. (Normally $494)
