How to Attract Coaching Clients

Explore top LinkedIn content from expert professionals.

Summary

Attracting coaching clients means connecting with people who genuinely want guidance and support, and encouraging them to choose your coaching services to help them reach their goals. The process goes beyond just showcasing credentials; it’s about engaging, building trust, and clearly communicating the transformation you offer.

  • Clarify your audience: Be specific about who you help and what problems you solve so prospective clients immediately recognize your value.
  • Showcase transformation: Focus your messaging on the real outcomes and changes clients can expect, rather than simply describing your services or coaching process.
  • Engage authentically: Start genuine conversations, share personal stories, and invite discussion to build trust and attract people who are ready for meaningful change.

Your LinkedIn profile might be the reason you're not getting clients. But here's how you can fix it... I see this pattern with so many talented career coaches. They have amazing expertise. They genuinely help people transform their careers. But their LinkedIn profile doesn't reflect that value. Here's what's happening: - Generic headlines that don't stand out in the feed. - About sections that list credentials instead of telling a story. - No clear indication of who they help or how. - Missing social proof from happy clients. The coaches who consistently attract clients do things differently: 1. They build a clear brand foundation: → Share their personal transformation story → Define what they stand for and believe in → Get specific about their expertise and ideal clients 2. They create strategic content consistently → Mix of high-engagement posts that get shared → Educational content that addresses real problems → Personal stories that build connection and trust 3. They optimize their profile for their audience → Headlines that immediately communicate value → About sections that tell stories and show results → Visual elements that feel professional and authentic The goal isn't to be perfect. It's to be clear. When someone visits your profile, they should instantly understand: What transformation you provide. Who you're designed to help. Why they should trust you to guide them. Your LinkedIn profile is your digital storefront. Make sure it's inviting the right people in. Want to learn the step-by-step system to optimize your LinkedIn profile and start attracting clients? Join our free masterclass next Tuesday at 8 PM EST where we'll walk through the exact framework that helps coaches turn their profiles into client magnets. I’ll drop the link in the comments.

I deleted all my "perfect" marketing content last month. My business mentor thought I'd lost my mind. Then I signed 3 new coaching clients in 10 days. The truth? Most coaches are using a client attraction approach that actively repels clients. I was too. After analyzing data from 200+ coaches, here's what actually works: 💥 Specificity beats credentials every time. One coach swapped "certified life coach" for "I help entrepreneurs stop procrastinating on their most important projects" and doubled her discovery calls. 💥 Questions outperform statements. Posts ending with questions got 3.4x more comments than those sharing wisdom. 💥 The less polished, the more trust. A coach's "perfect" video got 7 views. His raw, one-take video on the same topic? 342 views and 2 clients. The most effective marketing doesn't feel like marketing at all - it feels like a helpful conversation. What counterintuitive approach has worked best for your coaching business? #marketing #coaches #community #content #leadgeneration #authenticmarketing

Stop selling coaching. People don’t want it. They want insight into their challenges. They want a transformation. But they don’t want a lengthy explanation of what your coaching process looks like. Instead of making your whole message about it, illuminate the need for your ideal client to look deeply at themselves. Then the desire for coaching can emerge authentically. How do you do this? One of my favorite ways is to articulate the values your ideal client holds dear to them. And then to show them how most of the advice they are getting clashes with these values. And even worse, how their own actions contradict them. This leads to valuable insights that help them understand why they’re facing the challenges they are. These epiphanies hit a nerve and motivate them to look deeper. Which helps them recognize this contradiction won’t be resolved with surface-level strategies and tips. You’ve beautifully shown them they need to do some real work to create what they desire. Doing this one thing with your messaging positions you head and shoulders above 99% of coaches who all say the same generic spiel. You want clients ready to dive in instead of splashing around in the shallow end? Show them why.

Here's why 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞 to get clients (and 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐱 𝐢𝐭) A lot of coaches I talk to tell me the same thing: "I know I’m a great coach, but I just can't seem to get enough clients." They’ve spent years learning how to coach - getting certifications, working with mentors, taking courses - 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. Here’s the truth: 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. If you’re struggling to get clients, it usually comes down to one of these 3 things: 1. 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 A lot of coaches think they need to be generalists. “I help people transform their lives.” Cool… but what does that actually mean? When you try to speak to everyone, no one really listens. If someone asked, “Do you know a coach who helps corporate executives transition to entrepreneurship without burning out?” Would they think of you? If not, you’re probably too vague. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐱? ➡️ Get hyper-specific. Define who you help in a way that makes people say, “Oh, I know someone who needs that!” 2. 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐲 Most struggling coaches still sell hourly sessions or vague programs that sound like: ❌ “6 sessions for $X” ❌ “A 12-week coaching package” 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 - 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬. A potential client isn’t thinking, “I need to buy 6 calls.” They’re thinking, “I need to get unstuck and finally move forward.” 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐱? ➡️ 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. Package your offer around a clear outcome, like: “6 weeks to land your first high-ticket client” “A 90-day system to scale from $5K/month to $15K/month” “Build your dream coaching business in 6 months” 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲’𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭. 3. 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 This one’s simple. Most coaches say they need more clients… but they’re not actually talking to potential clients every day. I’ll ask, “How many people have you had a real conversation with this week?” And they’ll say, “Uh… maybe two?” That’s not enough. The fastest way to get clients is to have more conversations. If you’re not talking to people daily, your business will struggle. Period. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐱? ➡️ Block out 30-60 minutes a day for connection. Reach out, follow up, and engage with your network. The more you show up, the more opportunities will come your way. Which one of these is keeping you stuck right now? Drop a #1, #2, or #3 in the comments - and if you want help, DM me. I’ll hop on a free strategy call with zero selling to help you get unstuck.

5 Proven Frameworks to Get High-Quality Leads for Coaches You’re posting consistently. You’re engaging with people. You’re showing up daily. And yet, no high-quality leads. Here’s the thing, coaching clients don’t just fall into your lap. You need a system. A repeatable framework that turns visibility into sales. 1️⃣ The Content Ladder Framework Most coaches post “value” but forget to move people toward a buying decision. Here’s how to structure your content: ✅ Awareness posts: Educate & attract new audiences. (e.g., "Why most people fail at X") ✅ Trust-building posts: Case studies, transformations, behind-the-scenes of your coaching. ✅ Call-to-action posts: Ask them to DM you for a free resource, session, or next step. Each piece of content should pull your audience deeper into your ecosystem. 2️⃣ The DM Magnet Framework High-quality leads don’t just engage. They DM you. But only if you make it frictionless. ✅ Use CTAs that make it easy: “DM ‘COACH’ and I’ll send you a breakdown of how I helped X double their revenue in 3 months.” “DM ‘SYSTEM’ to see the exact steps to book 5+ clients per month without cold outreach.” A simple one-word DM CTA works because it removes the hesitation of starting a conversation. 3️⃣ The Warm Engagement Framework Most coaches struggle with cold outreach. Because it feels, well… cold. Instead of pitching out of nowhere, warm up your audience first: ✅ Comment on their posts before DMing them. ✅ Engage with their stories before making an offer. ✅ Send voice notes or personalized videos—they convert 10x better than text. By the time you start a conversation, they already know who you are. 4️⃣ The Mini-Webinar Framework Some clients need more trust before buying. Long-form content builds authority fast. ✅ Host a 15-minute value-packed training on LinkedIn or Instagram. ✅ Pick one pain point your audience struggles with and solve it live. ✅ At the end, offer a free consultation for those who need deeper help. The right people will raise their hands and step forward. 5️⃣ The Lead Magnet Framework Some people need one more push before booking a call. That’s where lead magnets come in. ✅ Create a 1-page PDF (checklist, roadmap, or case study). ✅ Offer it for free in exchange for a DM or email. ✅ Follow up with them personally after they get it. People who actively request your lead magnet are already interested. They just need a nudge to move forward. P.S. Want to build a brand that gets 5X ROI and high-quality leads? DM “BRAND”

After personally conducting 745+ sales calls for coaching services, I've learn that there are 6 things you must address if you want to enroll more coaching clients... Those seeking support from a coach naturally have doubts and worries that may hold them back from saying "yes" to investing in coaching and as coaches, we tend to have the natural desire to help people, which can lead towards giving all the magic away for free on the call to show how valueable your help is, but fail to enrol the amount of clients needed to reach your business revenue goals. It's even more frustrating when you know what other coaches out there are making and the amount of people out there who would benefit from your help. but for some reason, things just haven't clicked into place for you - even though you've done all the 'right things' (e.g invested in coaching programs yourself, added more qualifications and experience etc). Leaving you feeling like an imposter and doubting whether they made the right call to 'put yourself out there' as a coach. This makes your sales conversations feel awkward at best and downright weird at worst. But it doesn't have to be that way. If you want to enrol more coaching clients with confidence, then you must address these 6 key reasons that stop people from making a no brainer YES decision to invest in your coaching. ➤ Unclear unique selling proposition - Clearly communicate the benefits and outcomes clients can expect from working specifically with you to solve the specific problem they face. ➤.Uncertainty ROI - Showcase the journey ahead and the steps towards getting results (both tangible and intangible). ➤ Past disappointing experiences / unsure if it will work for them - Address any expectation misalignment or concerns right from the beginning for how things will be different with you. Quickly turn away potential clients who you know you can't help. ➤ Budget constraints - Depending on your business model, consider offering payment plans to accommodate varying financial capacities. ➤ Lack of Trust - Provide authentic testimonials, case studies, and social proof that's easily accessible publically to build credibility and trust fast. ➤ Fear of Change - In order to have new results, they will need to do things in a new way. Uncover the real cost for them to stay the same and reassurre them about how you help them navigate the change and achieve their goals. and lastly, remember, clients don’t just 'buy" your coaching services. They invest in themselves and the future version of themselves they desire. repost if you've found this useful. #salesTips #ClientCommitment #TransformativeCoaching #Objections #CoachingChallenges

LinkedIn has evolved beyond being just a professional networking site. For coaches, it’s a powerful platform to connect with potential clients and grow your business. If you’re looking to monetize your LinkedIn activity, here are eight proven strategies to turn your followers and commenters into paying coaching clients. 1. Offer Free Resources to Attract Leads One of the most effective ways to engage your LinkedIn audience is by offering free resources or lead magnets. Whether it’s a comprehensive eBook, an insightful guide, or a handy checklist, providing something of value to your audience is a surefire way to capture their interest. 2. Host Webinars or Workshops to Showcase Your Expertise Webinars and workshops are excellent platforms for demonstrating your coaching expertise. By hosting a free or low-cost session on a topic relevant to your audience, you can provide immediate value while giving potential clients a preview of what it’s like to work with you. 3. Utilize LinkedIn Live for Real-Time Engagement LinkedIn Live is a powerful tool for engaging with your audience in real-time. Hosting live sessions allows you to connect on a deeper level, offering Q&A opportunities, mini coaching sessions, or in-depth discussions on trending topics. 4. Use Direct Messaging to Personalize Your Approach While posting content publicly is important, direct messaging offers a more personal touch. When a follower interacts with your content, consider sending them a personalized message - without overt promotion. 5. Share Success Stories to Build Credibility Success stories and testimonials are powerful tools for building credibility. By sharing case studies and testimonials from previous clients, you can showcase the tangible results you’ve helped others achieve. These stories serve as social proof, illustrating the impact of your coaching. 6. Offer Exclusive LinkedIn-Only Promotions Everyone loves a good deal, and offering exclusive promotions to your LinkedIn followers is a great way to incentivize them to take action. Consider announcing limited-time discounts on your coaching packages or services through your posts and comments. 7. Engage in Thought Leadership to Attract High-Value Clients Positioning yourself as a thought leader on LinkedIn is key to attracting high-value clients. Consistently sharing deep insights, unique perspectives, and strategic advice through your posts and comments helps establish your authority in your niche. 8. Collaborate with Influencers to Expand Your Reach Partnering with other LinkedIn influencers can significantly expand your reach and introduce you to new potential clients. Collaborate with influencers who align with your coaching niche to co-host events, share each other’s content, or engage in mutual promotions. Want more tips to get clients through social media? How did it happen? 5️⃣ Engage with Your Ideal Audience Don’t just post: comment, message, and connect with people who match your niche. Build real relationships. 6️⃣ Host Free Trainings or Live Sessions Give a taste of your coaching style. When people see the value before they buy, trust skyrockets. 7️⃣ Include Clear, Low-Pressure Calls to Action End posts with, “Message me if this sounds like you” or “Let’s chat if you’re ready for support.” No hard sell needed. If you're an introvert trying to get your first coaching clients...stop trying to follow extrovert advice. Do this instead: 1. Stop trying to sell. Start trying to help. Most introverts hate "selling" because it feels pushy. So don’t sell. Talk about: → Problems your dream client is facing → How you think about solving them → What you’d tell a real person in that situation Now, you're not "promoting" yourself. You're simply listening and being of service. (Which is all sales really is!) 2. Protect your energy like it’s part of your strategy. If you’re forcing yourself to show up constantly, you’ll burn out. Instead: → Post when you actually have something to say → Batch or take breaks when needed → Be selective. Don’t say yes to every call or conversation Fix your energy, consistency solves itself. 3. Use pre-qualification instead of "convincing." Have people: → Fill out a short application → Share what they need help with → Self-select in (or out) Now your calls feel a lot more fun and less draining, because you’re talking to the right people. 4. Focus on resonance, not reach. You don’t need a big audience to get clients. You need the right people to feel like, "this person gets me." One strong post that resonates with the right people > 100 shallow posts trying to reach everyone (and land with no one). 5. Build trust in small ways. Trust is built when you: → Say you'll do something...and then do it → Share your truth → Show up consistently (in a way that works for you) It adds up fast. I’ve never had "influencer" numbers. Or done "networking." Or shared a lot about my personal life. But I’ve built a multi-7 figure coaching/course business for years because the people I reach… Actually feel seen and understood. You don’t need to be louder or more extroverted or more "charismatic" to get clients. You just need to be MORE you -- clearly and consistently. (In fact, having now helped 4,000+ coaches start and grow their own business, you know what I've seen? Introverts are often better coaches. 😉) ----- If your goal for 2026 is to leave your 9–5… this is the path I’d take: Turn what you already know into a coaching business. That’s how I built my first online business to six figures -- and it’s now helped 4,000+ people do the same. I broke it down into a free blueprint here: luisazhou.com/blueprint

I Help Coaches & Consultants Get 3–5 Qualified Calls/Day | Built $200K+ Revenue Systems Using Meta Ads + AI Automation | Sharing What Actually Works

As a coach, I don’t recommend relying on cold DMs or just posting. Let’s say you’re a coach who helps people heal from trauma. Ask yourself honestly: How many people in your friend list are actually dealing with trauma right now? 5? 10? Maybe 20 on a good day. And out of those, how many will pay you—this month or this week? You’re fishing in a puddle while calling it an ocean. Here’s what nobody tells you: Your friend list is not growing fast enough to cover your expenses. Meanwhile, ads from 10 other coaches are surrounding your audience on every platform—right now. And people are more likely to pay the coach who shows up in front of them first. Cold DMs also carry a hidden cost no one talks about: broken trust. Nobody wants to feel like a sales target—especially someone carrying pain. So what actually works? Stop chasing. Start attracting. Build a system that brings strangers to you—but not random strangers. People who already have the exact problem you solve. People who are already searching, already hurting, and already ready. Here is the system that does exactly that: Meta Ads Put your message in front of people who already have the problem you solve—at scale, every single day. No more waiting for the algorithm or hoping someone sees your post. AI Automation Every lead is followed up instantly—no manual chasing, no leads going cold. AI handles the conversation, qualifies them, and keeps them engaged 24/7. Appointment Funnel Qualified leads book calls directly on your calendar. You wake up to appointments—not cold inboxes, not hours spent convincing people. When the right person finds you, you don’t have to convince them. They already want what you offer. That is the difference between chasing clients and having a business. If you are still relying on cold DMs, I can show you what this looks like in action. Drop a comment or send me a message. #coaching #clientattraction #traumacoach #metaads #aiautomation #appointmentfunnel #coachingbusiness
