Too often I see companies reduce onboarding to “paperwork.” Forms, signatures, system logins. But in reality, onboarding decides how fast a person becomes productive. One client we worked with discovered that the real slowdown wasn’t training at all - it was delays in giving people access to the right tools. Once we fixed that, onboarding time dropped by 40%. Here’s a quick test: if you asked 10 new hires what they remember from onboarding, what would they say?
