Florida to use $291M BEAD funding for 102,591 locations

This title was summarized by AI from the post below.

A few late entries tonight, but first Florida proposing to utilize $291M (25%) of it's allocated BEAD funding to reach 102,591 eligible locations and CAIs. The technology mix is fiber (47%), LEO (25%), and HFC and LFW (both at 14%). For purposes of my awardee summaries, if a project is more than 80% one technology, then I assign it as the primary technology. Where no single technology reaches 80% of the project's locations, I assign the primary technology as "Mixed." #BEAD #RuralBroadband

Ok so I have to do a little rant. I'm in central FL. This is the second time in two months that they're now digging our front yards up across our community to lay fiber. I spoke to the town about it to get an idea of why can't this be more coordinated and was told, there's two more providers coming so we'll have two more digs to work through because no one needs to coordinate timing and there's no permits or notifications needed here if they're digging behind the sidewalks and not in the right of way. Trust me, I want fiber as much as the next person, however, having my front lawn dug up 4 times is a little excessive. How can I properly decorate for Halloween? lol??? This is an important holiday here!
