This paper analyzes the performance of the #non-#orthogonal #multiple #access (#NOMA)-assisted #integrated #sensing #and #communication (#ISAC) system over Rician fading channels.  They consider a transceiver at the base station communicating with two #downlink (#DL) and #uplink (#UL) users while simultaneously performing mono-static target sensing in the presence of co-channel interferences.  They investigate the communication performance of this system by analytically deriving the closed-form expressions of outage probabilities of near and far users in the DL and UL scenarios.  Moreover, they utilize Jensen’s inequality and first-order Taylor series approximation to obtain the ergodic rates of the DL and UL #communication #users (#CUs).  As a special case, they also derive closed-form expressions of the ergodic rates in the presence and absence of a target for the Rayleigh fading scenario.  Furthermore, they analyze the performance of target sensing by deriving the probability of detection and false alarm.  To ensure uniform quality-of-service to the near and far CUs in the UL, they have designed a communication-centric max-min power allocation optimization problem under a radar service constraint. ---- Ishaan Agrawal, Harsh Raj, Manoj B R More details can be found at this link: https://lnkd.in/e4Xd78uk

In this paper, the authors explore the usage of the #leaky #wave #antennas (#LWAs) for wideband downlink #multi-#user THz communications. They propose a model for LWA-aided communication systems that faithfully captures the antenna operations. They show that LWAs yield frequency-dependent beams, where the equivalent wideband channel induces a dependence between angle, frequency, and spectral lobe width. They identify the LWA’s inherent frequency-selective beamsteering capabilities as motivating multi-band THz communications, in which subbands are allocated among users based on their relative angles. SCY-QNet will evolve from a network enabling privacy-preserving long-distance communication using entanglement to an advanced networked system of entangled quantum memories and quantum processors. This framework will be used to run state-of-the-art quantum experiments, including secret-key sharing protocols, laying the groundwork for unhackable communication, for example, between power generation systems across Long Island. Additionally, the team envisions the construction of teleportation-based communication systems that use remote matter-matter entanglement in conjunction with time-synchronized classical networks to teleport critical data between institutions, for example, in the health and financial sectors.
