🔔✍🏻Publication alert✍🏻🔔 ✏️I am glad to announce our latest journal publication about the use of STAR-RIS for SWIPT systems in NOMA networks. 📝The paper, coauthored by me, Claudia Leoni and Yalçın Ata, presents a novel SWIPT protocol named Time Switching-Variable Mode Splitting, which allows to dynamically allocate STAR-RIS resources (i.e., time slot duration, and number of reflecting and transmitting elements) based on variable environment conditions. 💡 Energy harvesting and information transfer phases alternate to each other in downlink according to a variable time frame structure, while the energy harvested in downlink is exploited for data transfer in uplink.
