I use the AI tools in Articulate Storyline and RISE. The AI in Storyline can help write and re-write text, but it cannot create code. I like what it can do for text to speech and the voices are pretty good. I do like that it can create sound effects and have used it for several sound effects. Skybox.AI can create 360 degree images but you need a paid account. I used ChatGPT to create a game in Storyline and it was amazing.

Thank you for sharing your list Tanya Beniquez. Just today, I was thinking about how much time I’m saving by being able to generate AI audio directly in Rise. We’ve kind of shifted from using ElevenLabs to this option. Of course, it has its own limitations, but more often than not, it makes my life much easier. I haven’t tried the Storyline AI Assistant much yet, but hearing about the sound effects makes me want to give it a try. 🤓 Another tool that might be interesting for some is Napkin AI. It generates visuals from textual content and can be useful for quick visual creation or simply for sparking ideas.

I actually miss a few important solutions in here, like Powtoon

I’m interested in Boords and Clue Labs. What do you like most about each, Tanya?

Tanya Beniquez Great list! 🙌 But I couldn’t help noticing one key tool missing for Instructional Designers: Moodle AI integrations (or LMS-focused AI assistants in general). While creation, storyboarding, and collaboration are crucial, we also need AI embedded in the learning management system itself to analyze learner data, personalize pathways, and give real-time insights to instructors. That’s where the real magic of impact happens — not just creating content, but making sure it adapts and evolves with each learner. 🚀
