The Salone del Mobile 2026 campaign explores the physical and conceptual roots of design. By focusing on sustainable processes and sophisticated finishes, “Matter of Salone” celebrates the interaction between the sensory nature of surfaces and the effects of light. This theme is interpreted and made tangible within the Carimali booth, through a constant dialogue between light and texture. Eclos surfaces by COSENTINO and molten glass by Nouvel merge under the creative vision of Daniel Germani in the Carimali space, creating an architectural vision where design becomes a human and sustainable value. Some projects do more than fill a space, they define it. This stunning “southern bookend” project by Tiento Tiles is a reminder of how powerful materiality can be in shaping a home. The right textures, finishes and craftsmanship don’t just complement architecture, they elevate it. What stood out to me most is the way considered design choices can create something timeless, where every detail feels intentional rather than simply selected. In an industry often chasing trends, projects like this show the value of getting the fundamentals right: quality materials, thoughtful execution and design that lasts. We’re proud to play a small part in Ravinia Festival’s ongoing $75 million, multi-year renovation—an effort to preserve its historic character while upgrading the campus for future generations. These custom panels are being created as part of the broader transformation of Ravinia’s performance spaces, including the Pavilion, where enhancements will improve acoustics, production capabilities, and audience experience while maintaining the venue’s signature architectural identity. To support that balance of old and new, we produced panels using new wood veneer carefully selected and finished to complement Ravinia’s historic aesthetic. Each panel is pressed onto colored MDF and precision-cut and grooved on our CNC machine in well under an hour—bringing consistency and efficiency to a process rooted in craftsmanship. The final stop of our U.S. journey brought Jörg Nusser and me to Fort Myers, Florida, where we had the pleasure of visiting the Playmore Recreational Products + Services team and meeting with Danny Flesher and Ryan Russell. Thank you for the warm welcome, the open conversations, and the excitement surrounding our new partnership. Florida is a unique and demanding market, especially when it comes to durability, climate resistance and long-term performance in public spaces. That makes it even more exciting for us to work together with experienced partners who truly understand the local requirements and customer expectations. What also connects us on a deeper level is that we are all owner-led, family-driven companies. We share the same belief in long-term relationships, personal responsibility, premium quality and sustainable growth. We are looking forward when Playmore Recreational Products + Services presents Nusser Stadtmöbel GmbH & Co. KG products at FL ASLA and FRPA this year and to bringi high-end site furnishings to inspiring projects across Florida.
