Since our 𝑁𝑒𝑢𝑟𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑙𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝐶𝑙𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑟𝑜𝑜𝑚 launch event earlier this month, a number of people have contacted us asking for more information. At Microlinkpc Education we believe that a foundational knowledge of how the brain grows, changes and learns is critical to the implementation of a wide range of contemporary school improvement strategies, including the systemic changes signalled in the recent #WhitePaper. From September, we will be supporting schools in our community of practice, and in our associate networks, with a bank of resources we call 𝙉𝙚𝙪𝙧𝙤-𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀. -These small-step CPD opportunities have been carefully built and curated as stand-alone, but closely related, learning units, hosted within our Rise 360 online learning hub. -Schools will have unrestricted 24-hour access to all of these resources for every member of staff and Governor. -The materials are designed to be used in a number of ways, either for individual study or to prompt team conversations or even episodic whole staff INSET. The decision is yours alone. -The #CPD resources are constructed in such a way to prompt short focussed reflection (10-15 min skim-read), deeper dives into the topic, with baked-in reflective activities, or as an "always-on" accessible reference point. 𝑺𝒆𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇! Over the Easter break, we will enable access to just one of these resources. It was a great opportunity to reflect on our parallel paths, those early formative years of digital learning and the lessons that came from building an educational model specifically around the students. Many of the ideas that once felt experimental, such as removing the calendar, flexible pacing, expanded course access, and learning beyond the traditional school day, are now becoming accepted foundational elements of today’s evolving education landscape. In many ways, those early efforts paved the way for the nontraditional innovations we are seeing today, including unbundled and a la carte learning opportunities that give students greater flexibility and choice in how they learn.
