Is space the new high ground for national security? Digantara just secured $50M in Series B funding, propelling them to the forefront of AI-powered space defense and intelligence. This investment marks a strategic pivot from basic space situational awareness to becoming a full-stack provider for defense and government, globally expanding their reach and manufacturing capabilities. Their ambitious plan includes deploying 17 new satellites by 2027, focusing on sophisticated intelligence, including missile warning and tracking objects down to 5cm in LEO. At the heart of this is their AIRA platform, fusing data from space and ground sensors with advanced AI to deliver real-time, actionable intelligence. This demonstrates a critical dual-use model for the spacetech sector and a powerful application for AI. This expansion is a game-changer for orbital safety and national security, highlighting the indispensable role of advanced data analytics and machine learning in our rapidly evolving space domain. What are your thoughts on commercial entities taking on such a significant role in space security? #SpaceTech #AI #NationalSecurity #SpaceDefense #DeepTech Read more: https://lnkd.in/gzeD_-Pg
