Defense tech company Anduril Industries has inked an agreement to buy ExoAnalytic Solutions, one of the premier American firms specializing in satellite and missile tracking, Anduril announced today. “We’re still pending legal paperwork, but we have entered into a definitive agreement to acquire them,” Gokul Subramanian, Anduril’s senior vice president of engineering, told reporters. “This is a company we’ve been working with closely for the last several years on a number of programs, and they are experts in space domain awareness and missile defense.” Read more from Breaking Defense https://lnkd.in/e5DxqacY

The race to counter hypersonic missiles is entering a decisive phase. The United States is moving fast with U.S. Space Force’s MWT Epoch 2, a new space based tracking network designed to detect and follow highly unpredictable launches. The plan starts with 10 satellites in medium Earth orbit, improving wide area surveillance while preserving the ability to spot difficult thermal signals from maneuverable weapons. This effort will work alongside the 12 satellites of Epoch 1, creating a more resilient constellation and strengthening global monitoring. The pace is striking: preliminary review was completed just nine months after the May 2025 contract award to BAE Space and Mission Systems, worth 1.2 billion dollars.
