Got a really nice shoutout from my friend in the CG Industry; Mohamed Shaaban during his latest podcast episode as a guest about 3D design 🎙️ Hearing someone in the industry I respect talk about that phase reminded me how far consistency (and a bit of stubbornness) can take you. I remember starting with just a laptop with no GPU, only a CPU — I couldn’t render animations locally, so I had to rely on online render farm clouds. I even got a lot of help from a friend who used to render client projects for me on their MacBook. That’s how I made my first ever pennies from 3D, slowly building my way up until I got my first RTX 3050 laptop, which handled my work beautifully for a long time — until I finally built my first full PC setup that I can now depend on for big professional projects. Big thanks to Mohamed for the mention and to AbdelRahman for hosting this good Episode helping people to have more about the 3D Industry 🙌 🎧 You can watch the episode from here: https://lnkd.in/d3EDiDPV

Optimize Your Dual Monitor Setup: Smarter GPU Profiles for Work & Play For studios, creative operators and power users managing multi‑display setups, optimizing how your GPU and displays behave can make a big difference in productivity and visual quality. Here are four strategic steps: 1️⃣ Assign separate profiles (gaming vs work) — configure one display setup for real‑time gaming or rendering and another for spreadsheets or creative apps. 2️⃣ Use per‑application GPU settings — direct heavy apps (gaming, 3D, video) to the high‑performance GPU profile, while lighter windows use the integrated GPU or power‑saving mode. 3️⃣ Synchronize refresh rates — ensure both monitors are running compatible refresh rates (for example 144 Hz + 144 Hz) to avoid stutter and uneven motion when dragging windows between screens. 4️⃣ Disable flicker via panel overrides — use your GPU control panel (NVIDIA Control Panel, AMD Adrenalin) to override and fix flicker issues, or set the preferred GPU for each monitor explicitly. At NovaFluxT, we build dual‑monitor rigs optimized with application profiles, refresh alignment, and display‑specific GPU tuning to ensure productivity and immersive experiences. 🖼️ NovaFluxT – Perfect multi‑display balance #DualMonitor #MultiDisplay #GPUProfiles #NovaFluxT #laptop #laptopsupplier #laptopfactory

I wrote my own CHIP-8 Emulator in C++! I didn't get to play arcade games that much growing up, so I decided to build a fully functional emulator that runs classic 1970s games like Tetris and Space Intercept. This project challenged me to implement a complete 35-opcode instruction set, manage low-level memory operations with 4KB RAM simulation, handle real-time graphics rendering using SDL2, and design cross-platform build systems with CMake and vcpkg. The emulator faithfully recreates original CHIP-8 specifications with pixel-perfect 64x32 display scaling and proper timing systems. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/edtYdTwC

Gamers wanted power or portability. Never both. The A16 PRO weighs 2.3kg and runs everything. Compromises ended. Gigabyte just dropped something special. Their new Gaming A16 PRO and A18 laptops pack RTX 5080 GPUs with 12-hour battery life. That's not a typo. The real game-changer? GiMate AI assistant built right in. Voice commands control cooling profiles while you game. No more alt-tabbing to adjust performance settings. Key specs that matter: 🔋 12 hours of actual battery life 🎮 RTX 5080 with DLSS 4 support 🗣️ Voice-controlled system management 📱 Under 20mm thick design 🌀 WindForce Infinity EX cooling with 158 asymmetric blades The A16 PRO hits the sweet spot. Thin enough for daily carry. Powerful enough for serious gaming. Early reviews show smooth performance at QHD+ resolution. The cooling keeps things quiet under load. Battery claims check out in real-world testing. This feels like the first real answer to "gaming laptop or ultrabook?" You get both. The industry is shifting fast. AI integration isn't just marketing anymore. Voice control over hardware profiles makes sense when your hands are busy. What's your take on AI assistants in gaming hardware? Game-changer or gimmick? #GamingLaptops #TechInnovation #AI 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞: https://lnkd.in/gpDcdc8u

NVIDIA sent us a 5090 so we can demo Qwen3-VL 4B & 8B GGUF. You can now run it in our desktop UI, Hyperlink, powered by NexaML Engine — the first and only framework that supports Qwen3-VL GGUF right now. We tried the same demo examples from the Qwen2.5-32B blog — the new Qwen3-VL 4B & 8B are insane. Benchmarks on RTX 5090 (Q4): Qwen3VL-8B → 187 tok/s, ~8GB VRAM Qwen3VL-4B → 267 tok/s, ~6GB VRAM Thanks NVIDIA and Qwen — local multimodal just went beast mode. More optimizations are coming. Run it yourself in Hyperlink — one-click install, fully local, beautiful UI. What interesting Qwen3VL use cases will you discover? Download link below.
