NASA just launched a telescope 100 times more powerful than Hubble. The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will map billions of galaxies, measure dark energy, and discover thousands of exoplanets. All from 1.5 million kilometres away. But here's what caught our attention: the technology that makes this possible isn't new. It's the same infrared imaging, data processing, and pattern recognition that's been quietly transforming industries on Earth. Including property. The same AI that helps astronomers identify patterns in cosmic data is helping developers identify patterns in buyer behaviour. Which units get the most attention. Which price points trigger engagement. Which marketing channels actually convert. The difference? NASA spent $4.3 billion building their data machine. Developers can access similar analytical power for a fraction of that, and most still choose to rely on gut feel and spreadsheets. We're living in an era where we can map the observable universe in unprecedented detail. Surely we can do better than guessing which apartment floor plan will sell. #Space #AI #PropTech #DataDriven #PropertyDevelopment

Space data is growing faster than we can process it, with over 5,000 Earth observation satellites expected by 2032. But data alone isn't a solution and it’s just noise until it’s analyzed. 🛰️ Next week at The Economist Space Economy Summit in Lisbon, our CRO Charlie Candy will be discussing all things AI 🤝 space. 🗓️ Wednesday, May 6 ➡️ Panel: From pixels to predictions: unlocking the value of space data with AI (14:30-15:00 BST) ➡️ Talk: Monetising orbit: how AI is turning satellite data into competitive advantage (15:30-15:45 BST)

📅 NEWS BREAK — May 12, 2026 🔥 RAVEN AND THE 'NEPTUNIAN DESERT': AI AS THE NEW ASTRONOMER AI is discovering worlds we thought impossible. NASA's RAVEN system just confirmed over 100 new exoplanets, including those in the 'Neptunian Desert'—a zone where scientists previously thought planets couldn't survive due to stellar radiation. By shifting the burden of data analysis to AI, we are discovering that the universe is far more resilient than our human-authored models predicted. This is a massive win for AI in basic science, proving it can identify patterns that human astrophysicists are literally conditioned to ignore. #AI #tech #LLMOps #claude #gemini #meta #agenticAI #productmanagement

Yesterday I went on a talk to about how Al is helping real space missions! In many ways, space has always been an exercise in intelligence. The ability to calculate, adapt, predict, and survive in environments utterly hostile to human life. Today, artificial intelligence is becoming part of that journey. Quietly working behind the scenes, AI is helping spacecraft navigate vast distances, analyse enormous streams of data, identify distant planets, monitor satellites, and even assist robotic explorers on worlds millions of miles away from Earth. What fascinates me is that humanity has reached a point where we are creating tools capable of helping us understand places no human being may ever physically stand. In a sense, AI has become an extension of human curiosity itself, reaching outward into the dark alongside us.
