Founder & Managing Director, Optimus Systems

Yesterday at SmallBiz Week in Melbourne, I had the privilege of joining a great panel to discuss unlocking efficiency through AI and automation — and what that really means for small and mid-sized businesses. The key takeaway; It’s not about replacing people. It’s about amplifying human potential, eliminating manual noise, and freeing teams up for the work that matters. Massive thanks to the fellow panellists from Constant Contact and Box for an energising conversation. If you’re thinking about where AI fits in your business — or where it’s already showing up without you knowing — let’s chat. #SmallBusinessWeek #AIforBusiness #Automation #SMEsuccess #OptimusSystems #BusinessEfficiency #MelbourneEvents #DigitalTransformation

Were there many key takeaways on use cases or outcomes from using AI to drive efficiency? There's a lot of talk in the industry about what can be streamlined and made efficient but less about what can be achieved with all that time you're buying back. That's a key constraint I see for providers and the adoption and use of AI. People can tend towards the negative outcomes from efficiency (my job is at stake/being replaced/restructured out) if the positives aren't tangible.
