Reactive or proactive L&D, which one are you doing? A lot of companies and orginsations only act when something goes wrong. A complaint pops up, and suddenly it’s “quick, book a course.” That’s firefighting. It fixes symptoms, not causes. As https://lnkd.in/eM3_8Ad7 explains in this clip, a conflict management course won’t fix workplace arguments. You need to understand the root cause. Proactive L&D is about looking deeper. You ask, “Why is this happening?” You spot patterns before problems explode. So, are you putting out fires, or stopping them starting? ---------- This clip is from Episode 4: Making L&D Strategic (Not Just Supportive) Podcast Name: Keys to Unlock L&D (You can find the full episode in my bio)

TIME CRIME. That’s what I call unnecessary meetings. On The Root of All Success podcast, I shared this story of the time I helped AT&T tackle their “time crimes” and reduce 20% of their meetings. The result? More time for real work, better collaboration, and happier teams. With spooky season here, it’s the perfect reminder to run a Zombie Meeting Audit—so you can put an end to the lifeless, time-sucking meetings haunting your calendar. If this struck a chord, check out my new keynote, Let Leaders Lead, on my website—where I go deeper on how leaders can simplify work and free their people to focus on what matters. https://lnkd.in/erEX6tQH

💬 It’s frustrating when someone assumes they know what you’re going to say and interrupts to finish your thought. ✔️ Instead of letting it slide, address it directly if it’s repetitive. ✔️ Focus on how it makes you feel: “When you finish my sentences, it makes me feel unheard,” rather than attacking the person. ✔️ Being honest and respectful sets boundaries while maintaining professional communication. Sometimes, a small conversation can prevent a big annoyance. Want to learn more?
