Every year, I come back from re: Invent energized. This year, I came back convinced. Being in Vegas last week, I can tell people were not just talking tech. There's an urgency here, especially around agentic. Business leaders are driving transformation now. I am convinced they're picking up speed and 2026 will be unbelievable! Matt Garman's keynote hit hard with one question: 'Why not?' Why not move forward, be inventive, and keep pushing? It reframes everything. The agentic AI examples he shared, Adobe and others using autonomous agents, are live and fundamentally changing how work gets done. The technology is ready. The question shifts from 'Can we?' to 'Why wouldn't we? Dr. Ruba Borno's keynote showed us what happens when you combine the right technology with the right expertise. Toyota Motor Corporation and McKinsey & Company reimagined an entire supply chain, delivering a billion dollars in value. Condé Nast transformed from print-dominated to 70% digital revenue. These are the types of business transformations we want to see more of in 2026. But here's the thing: these transformations require multiple partners working in tandem. And that's exactly where friction usually creeps in. But the AWS Marketplace innovations announced reduce that friction. When customers need multiple partners working together to solve complex problems, procurement shouldn't be the bottleneck. Customers should not have to put it all together themselves. But here's what I keep coming back to: the conversations. Reconnecting with colleagues, meeting new partners, and hearing directly from customers about what they're trying to solve. That face-to-face energy is something you can't get anywhere else. #AWSreInvent #AWSPartners #CustomerObsessed #BusinessTransformation AWS Partners

I’ve been sitting with Microsoft’s concept of the Frontier Firm this week - and one line keeps echoing: “The Frontier Firm is a practice, not a place.” That framing matters. I keep seeing teams rush to copilots and agents before they’ve ever slowed down to understand how work actually happens. Microsoft’s reflection reinforces something I see repeatedly in real teams: What stalls progress most often isn’t the technology - it’s the lack of visibility into how work actually gets done. Visibility into: • How knowledge work really flows (not how org charts say it does) • Where decisions should stay human-led • Which roles actually create leverage - and which are buried in invisible effort What stood out most wasn’t the tech. It was the discipline: Making work visible. Redesigning roles, not just workflows. Treating experimentation as a habit, not a phase. That’s the shift many organizations are still underestimating. AI isn’t a productivity layer you “add on.” It changes how teams collaborate, how trust is built, and how value compounds over time. The teams I see making real progress aren’t chasing the frontier. They’re practicing their way toward it - one role, one workflow, one learning loop at a time. Curious how others are thinking about this inside their teams right now. What’s been hardest to make visible? #AITransformation #FutureOfWork #Leadership #WaysOfWorking #HumanCenteredAI #AIAdoption

Good news for your end-of-year reading list: We've just released the Microsoft 2025 New Future of Work Report! The fifth installment of the report frames the past five years of disruption as chapters in a single evolution of collaboration. The next chapter, covered in this year’s report, moves from individual to collective productivity. AI can bridge time, distance, and scale, but only when it’s designed for shared goals, group context, and collaborative norms. 📖 Microsoft New Future of Work Report 2025 (https://aka.ms/nfw2025), by Dr. Jenna Butler, Sonia Jaffe, Rebecca Janßen, Nancy Baym, Brent Hecht, Jake Hofman, Sean Rintel, Bahareh Sarrafzadeh, Abigail Sellen, Mihaela Vorvoreanu, Jaime Teevan, et al. Microsoft Research Tech Report MSR-TR-2025-58. There's a lot there to digest, but don't worry. In the new year I'll continue my annual tradition of walking through the slides. Consider this your sneak peek. #NewFutureOfWork #NFW2025 #AIResearch #WorkplaceInnovation #BeyondTheAbstract

Just in time for the end of the year, our latest Microsoft 2025 New Future of Work report just dropped! The insights on human-AI collaboration are what personally stick with me. Being able to control and adjust how much AI helps us and actually see why it makes certain suggestions, is what help us build trust in the system and grow our skills on the job. The future of work isn't about machines taking over, but about designing AI together with people to empower them.
