Data-center infrastructure-equipment sales may rise at a 12% CAGR and jump to $73 billion by 2028, based on BI's update to its market outlook of six months ago and after our February report on AI infrastructure. This report examines the evolving opportunities for industrial companies as rising manufacturing capacity eases constraints and AI-driven investment lifts sales of electricals like Schneider and Vertiv. We also consider how efficiency gains from new large language models like DeepSeek could ultimately boost AI adoption, which means growth in equipment needs will continue.

The Future of Network Automation: " Where AI Meets Intent and Intelligence” The future of networking isn’t just automated — it’s autonomous. We’re entering an era where AI, Machine Learning, and Intent-Based Networking (IBN) converge to create self‑driven, self‑healing, and self‑evolving networks. From data to decision, next‑gen infrastructure operates with minimal human intervention — optimizing, predicting, and reconfiguring in real time. In 2025, AI‑driven automation is reshaping NetOps through: - Closed-loop intelligence: Networks that learn from telemetry, predict faults, and auto‑remediate issues before they escalate. - Intent-based orchestration: Business logic translated into automated network configurations and assurance cycles. - Digital twins: Virtual network replicas enhancing simulation, what‑if analysis, and continuous assurance. - NetDevOps convergence: Bridging software pipelines and networking to enable continuous delivery for infrastructure. - Open ecosystems: APIs and Open RAN frameworks amplifying interoperability and innovation. Leaders now recognize that automation is not about replacing engineers — it’s about empowering them to focus on strategy and design rather than repetitive tasks. The upcoming shift from “Zero‑Touch” to “Self‑Evolving” networks will redefine skills, roles, and the pace of digital transformation. Those who blend network knowledge + AI fluency will lead this automation frontier. #NetworkAutomation #AIinNetworking #IntentBasedNetworking #NetDevOps #NextGenInfrastructure #AutomationEngineering

The AI bubble debate misses the point. We’re watching billions being spent on the largest technology opportunity in history, with a 95% failure rate. Do these statistics suggest we are hurtling to an AI cliff? No. Instead, they confirm that it’s time to rethink what AI means for business. Lessons from history are helpful here. When electricity arrived in the late 1800s, factories did the obvious thing: they swapped gas lamps for lightbulbs. The result was brighter, safer workplaces. But the true revolution came later, when factories reorganized around electric motors. Production lines were redesigned and whole industries changed. The lightbulb was the headline, but the re-engineered factory was the real story. https://lnkd.in/gVZXtbAH #TheAIBubbleDebate #MissesThePoint #ChatBotAreJustAtTheLightBulbStage
