How do you ensure learner success at conferences, events or even critical meetings? ➡️ At ATD New England, Oct 9-10, we’ll be showing L&D leaders how to scale their programs across languages without losing quality or engagement. Here’s what that means in practice: ✔️ Translation + Localization: Adapting training so examples, tone, and visuals resonate with learners in every region. ✔️ Multimedia Support: Voiceover, captions, and subtitling for recorded sessions and webinars. ✔️ Platform Expertise: Experience with Articulate, Captivate, Storyline, Cornerstone, and other LMS tools means no rework or technical surprises. 💡 Industry Insight: Learners are more likely to complete and understand training when it’s delivered in their primary language, even if they speak English fluently. If you’re building leadership programs, onboarding new hires, or rolling out compliance training, stop by our booth to explore how Interpro can make your training work everywhere. ➡️ https://hubs.li/Q03JDt8L0 #ATD2025 #TalentDevelopment #eLearningLocalization #WorkplaceLearning #Interpreting #TranslationServices

Recently, someone asked me, “What are some best practices you’d recommend other facilitators use to create engagement?” Part of my answer was simple — but I believe it’s the most important piece. As facilitators, trainers, and learning professionals, our job isn’t just to deliver content. It’s to create an experience that’s easy to remember. Instructional designers do an amazing job developing material that’s clear and structured. But it’s in the delivery — how we connect, relate, and bring it to life — that learners truly remember and make the learning their own. For me, that all starts with authenticity and genuine care. When we sincerely care about how people experience the session — and how they perceive us — we create something that sticks far beyond the classroom. That’s how I approach every session I lead: with authenticity, care, and a desire to make the experience memorable. 🎥 In this video, I share how I bring authenticity and connection into every facilitation moment. #LearningAndDevelopment #Facilitation #LeadershipDevelopment #AuthenticLeadership

One core training concept, I want to emphasize today is "Presentation Skills". Presentation skills are more than just speaking in front of an audience. They combine several foundational soft skills such as communication, confidence, clarity of thought, body language, empathy, and storytelling. As a trainer, one's ability to present ideas effectively, engage learners, and hold attention is what makes learning impactful. It’s not only about delivering content, but also about connecting with people, adapting your tone, and creating an environment that motivates participation. #ACTTrainer #Protouch #Softskillstrainer

🎯 Facilitation Skills: The Heart of Effective Learning In training, content alone is not enough. What truly creates impact is how we facilitate — the energy, engagement, and inclusivity we bring into the learning space. Shaping facilitation into a structured, measurable, and inspiring practice. 🌟 Core Facilitation Strengths: ✔ Active student engagement through interaction and questioning ✔ Confident content delivery with flow and clarity ✔ Respectful, inclusive classroom management — ensuring every learner is heard ✔ Meaningful session closures with summaries and follow-up tasks 📊 Facilitation Audit Parameters for tracking excellence of the program: • Did the trainer open with a recap or context? • Was real-life application connected to concepts? • Were all learners included, with differentiated support? • Was the session summarized and reinforced? • Did we create space for learner feedback? 🔑 The 4-Step Session Flow: 1️⃣ Start – Set context / recap 2️⃣ Build – Drive engagement through facilitation 3️⃣ Apply – Connect learning with real-world relevance 4️⃣ Close – Summarize and reinforce with practice Because in the end, students may forget the slides or the examples — but they will never forget how the facilitator made them feel. 💡 Developing facilitation skills isn’t just about meeting audit benchmarks — it’s about creating learning experiences that drive confidence, employability, and lifelong growth. #FacilitationSkills #TrainerExcellence #LearningAndDevelopment #MasterTrainer #QualityLearning

I almost missed this lesson about facilitation. In my early days of training, I thought one method would work for everyone. Explain clearly. Share slides. Ask questions. Done. But then I noticed something strange: Some participants lit up. Others went quiet. And a few told me later, “I didn’t get much because that’s not how I learn best.” That’s when it hit me learners are not all the same. Understanding how people learn changes everything. It makes facilitation less about “teaching” and more about connecting. Here are 4 types of learners I’ve seen, and how to train them better: 1. Visual Learners They understand best when they see it. Use slides, diagrams, flowcharts, or even doodles on a board. 2. Auditory Learners They catch details through listening. Add discussions, Q&A, storytelling, or even short audio clips. 3. Kinesthetic Learners They learn by doing. Introduce roleplays, breakout rooms, practice sessions, or real-life tasks. 4. Reading/Writing Learners They learn best by reading, taking notes, and writing. Provide guides, summaries, or reflective journaling prompts. Notice how each learner needs something different? That’s why the best facilitators mix it up. They weave in visuals, conversations, activities, and reflection. Because when every learner feels seen, the training sticks. And when the training sticks, transformation happens. 🔴 P.S. Which type of learner do you think you are? #VirtualFacilitator #LearningAndDevelopment #DigitalLearning #LinkedIn #CareerGrowth

🎯 Managing Different Learner Types During Training — A True Test of Facilitation Skills In every workshop or seminar, there’s always a mix of personalities in the room — and that’s where the real art of facilitation begins. We’ve observed that the most effective trainers and L&D practitioners don’t just deliver content — they read the room, adapt their style, and bring everyone along the learning journey. Here are some types of learners you’ll likely meet (and how great facilitators handle them): 👑 1️⃣ The Dominant Voice – Confident, outspoken, and loves to share. ✔️ Tip: Acknowledge their insights but balance airtime. Say, “Great point — let’s hear from others too.” 🌿 2️⃣ The Quiet Observer – Often shy, but full of insight once given the space. ✔️ Tip: Use small group activities or written exercises. Some people think deeply before they speak. ⏰ 3️⃣ The Timekeeper – Always watching the clock, prefers structure. ✔️ Tip: Provide a clear agenda and stay on schedule. They appreciate order and predictability. 💤 4️⃣ The Disengaged One – Maybe tired, overwhelmed, or uninterested. ✔️ Tip: Re-energize with a quick activity or question. Sometimes, all they need is to feel involved again. 🌈 5️⃣ The Eager Newbie – Excited to learn, takes notes nonstop, and asks lots of questions. ✔️ Tip: Encourage them while managing time. Their enthusiasm is gold — just guide it constructively. Every participant learns differently. The best facilitators make space for all voices — without forcing anyone into the spotlight. Because true facilitation isn’t just about teaching — it’s about connecting, listening, and creating moments of growth for everyone in the room. ✨ Disclaimer: This is an AI-assisted copywriting post created to promote learning culture and engagement. ADDIE in Communication: Most people know ADDIE as the backbone of Instructional Design in Learning & Development. But here’s a thought: Why can't it be applied in communication. When I coach communication, I often borrow ADDIE because conversations can benefit from structure: 1. Analysis – Who is my audience? What’s their context? 2. Design – What message truly matters here? 3. Development – How do I shape my words or what kind of words should I choose so they’re clear, relatable, and authentic? 4. Implementation – How do I deliver in a way that connects, not just informs? 5. Evaluation – Did the message land? How do I know? The best part is - if you follow this model, your conversations will be more natural, purposeful, making it a win-win situation. And that’s the bridge I love building: Taking robust L&D models like ADDIE and applying them to something as human as everyday communication. Because at the end of the day, designing a training module or having a 2-minute conversation, the goal is to make an impact that lasts. My next post will be on how to use SAM in communication. Stay tuned. #CommunicationSkills #ADDIE #LeadershipDevelopment #Mindfullearning #CorporateTraining #LifelongLearning

Short hand visuals, just like emojis, help learners track what role, mindset or framing will help them within a learning experience. Our leader team at The Group Forward just wrapped a facilitation skills training the trainer workshop with a group of brilliant global trainers in healthcare. 🎓First we are learners. Take in the content and experience it yourself. (Be ready to empathize with future learners)❤️ 👷🏻♀️👷🏽👷🏾♂️Then we put our training hat on. How will we deliver this content to others wearing the learning hat? 🧢Then we coach. When we see people in the field, we take a time out and give them on demand responsive support to make the tweaks they need and move toward self assess improvements. 🧼📦Facilitation skills remain the most relevant skills I can think of, for any leader of any group size or context. And the most fun part about training people on facilitation skills is how quickly they can pick up the tools you offer them. When a facilitator has more confidence and more tools in their tool kit, guess who wins? The group! The group does better! The group hits their collective goals in an easier way! The group moves forward, together. Because in reality, it’s never actually about the facilitator, it’s always about the group. #facilitation #facilitationskills #faciliatationtraining #trainingthetrainer #facilitationtools
