Treasury CIO moves to test Anthropic’s Mythos this week 🔎 The U.S. Treasury’s CIO is pushing to gain access to Anthropic’s Mythos model as soon as this week to hunt for vulnerabilities and assess risks. He’s also ordered the department’s cybersecurity team to prepare specifically for AI-driven threats and misuse. 🔹 Immediate effort to probe a major LLM for security flaws 🔹 Signals tighter government engagement with private AI platforms and influence on policy/practice 🔹 Cyber teams are being readied for AI-specific attack vectors and resilience planning #AI #Cybersecurity #GovTech #Anthropic #LargeLanguageModels #AIGovernance #RiskManagement #NationalSecurity

Cyber risk just got faster. AI models like Anthropic’s Mythos can surface unknown vulnerabilities at machine speed—often faster than organizations can respond. That changes how we should think about cyber risk, audit, and resilience. How are you adjusting for an AI‑accelerated threat landscape? #ProtivitiInsights #ProtivitiCyber #CyberRisk #AIGovernance https://bit.ly/4t4nHYB

From floppy to AI: What does it really mean to be an "expert" in cybersecurity? In 1990, being a security expert was a bit like being a locksmith. Physical accesses, Michelangelo floppy disks and isolated systems were managed. Security was an option. In 2026, the expert became an architect of planetary resilience. 🌍The profession has radically changed: 🔹 1990: We protected the perimeter (the castle). 🔹 2026: The perimeter no longer exists. We protect identity and data everywhere (Zero Trust). 🔹 1990: We were fighting passionate hackers. 🔹 2026: We orchestrate AI agents to counter waves of automated ransomware and ultra-sophisticated deepfakes. The big difference? In 2026, the expert no longer "surveils" logs. It supervises an autonomous defense and anticipates the post-quantum threat. 🛡️🤖The entrance ticket is higher, but the impact is unprecedented. We are no longer in IT, we are in the management of the life risk of companies. And you, what skill do you consider as the "must-have" of the CISO in 2026? 👇 #CyberSecurity #ArtificialIntelligence #CloudSecurity #DigitalEvolution #FutureWork

As leaders evaluating AI risk, we must run four governance checks on every AI project: decision accountability, data provenance, model monitoring, and compliance mapping. These controls—shaped with input from CISOs and legal advisors and aligned to Cyber Intelligence 4U’s curriculum and Routledge guidance—significantly reduce legal and operational exposure and make oversight board-ready. Review each check against your program, document owners and escalation paths, and ensure monitoring and audit trails are in place. Contain breach > reduce vulnerabilities. Ask a CISO which failure mode gets you fired: - Missing a vulnerability (happens every day) - Suffering a catastrophic breach AI is rapidly increasing our ability to find vulnerabilities. But it's also collapsing the time between discovery and exploitation. So the question shifts from "How do we prevent every compromise?" to "What happens when something gets through?" If you had to choose between: - "I'll reduce your vulnerabilities by 70%" - "If an asset is compromised, it can only reach 2 systems instead of 2,000" Every serious CISO picks the second. Because risk isn't just probability. It's probability × blast radius. We've spent the last decade optimizing for probability. AI is going to force us to optimize for blast radius. With the industrialization of AI cybercrime, the perimeter has become a speedbump. The battle has moved inside. Trust can no longer be enforced at the perimeter. It must be governed internally. #ZTNX #Cybersecurity #CISO #AIRisk #BreachContainment

Cyber Disaster Convergence (03) New disaster multiplier: AI has fundamentally changed the threat landscape. A research shows a 2.75x increase in human-operated ransomware, driven by AI tools that identify vulnerabilities & deploy machine speed. Deepfakes, now create societal - scale disruption. Cyber disasters, corrupts trust. India’s response must further integrate cyber forensics , digital literacy & AI driven early detection into every layer of critical infrastructure protection. #CyberDisasterConvergence #CyberPhysicalSecurity #CriticalInfrastructure #CyberResilienceIndia #DigitalIndiaSecurity #CERTIn #CyberAttack #NationalCyberSecurity #DisasterRiskReduction #SmartInfrastructure

Dr. Carl Windsor, Chief Information Security Officer at Fortinet, has identified key cybersecurity challenges that Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) are likely to face in 2026 and beyond. In his latest article, Dr. Windsor examines the evolving role of the CISO amid rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), increasing regulatory pressures, and rising geopolitical tensions. He asserts that 2026 will challenge long-standing assumptions about how organisations defend, recover, and adapt to threats—emphasising that resilience will become the defining benchmark of security maturity. "The challenge is not to fear and avoid AI, but to ensure your defensive cyber security measures keep pace with the speed of offensive use." James Henry, our Cyber Director, cuts through the noise to unpack what Anthropic’s Claude Mythos really means for UK organisations. This isn’t about entirely new threats. It’s about the acceleration of existing ones. AI is compressing the gap between vulnerability discovery and exploitation, turning known weaknesses into usable attacks faster than ever. The implication is clear: resilience, speed of patching, and AI-enabled defence are now critical. Organisations that rely on traditional response timelines will struggle to keep up as the attack window shrinks. Most businesses have an IT security policy. Very few have an AI security policy. In 2026, those are not the same thing. EP14 of Zero Shot is the conversation James Gauci and Llew Jury have been building toward, what AI risk actually looks like inside real organisations, who is accountable when something goes wrong, and what a practical governance framework looks like for a business that is not a bank or a government agency. No jargon. No scare tactics. Just the honest picture of where most organisations are right now and what the gap looks like. 🎧 EP14 is live - zeroshot.com.au #ZeroShot #AIGovernance #AIRisk #CyberSecurity #AILeadership

🚨 Claude Mythos: The AI Model That Changed the Cybersecurity Conversation. When Anthropic introduced Claude Mythos, it signaled a new reality for the cyber world. This is not just another chatbot. Mythos is being described as a frontier AI model with exceptional capabilities in: Discovering software vulnerabilities Auditing code at scale Simulating exploit chains Accelerating defensive security testing. Prioritizing critical weaknesses faster than traditional methods. Organizations should prepare for a future where: Vulnerabilities are found in hours, not months Security operations become AI-assisted Patch management becomes business-critical Legacy infrastructure becomes high-risk overnight Cyber resilience matters more than perimeter defense #CyberSecurity #ArtificialIntelligence #Anthropic #ClaudeMythos #SOC #ThreatDetection #ZeroDay #CyberDefense #DigitalTransformation #RiskManagement
