New blog post: The Quiet War Above: Grey Zone Operations in Space The biggest threats to satellites right now aren't missiles. They're manoeuvres that could be maintenance or could be rehearsals for an attack, and nobody on the outside can tell the difference. Russia's Cosmos-2542 stalked a US spy satellite. China's Shijian-21 towed a defunct spacecraft out of orbit. GPS jamming across the Baltic hit 2,700 incidents in a single month in Poland alone. And France is spending €10 billion on counterspace programmes that haven't launched yet. This piece looks at what grey zone warfare actually looks like in orbit, why the governance frameworks aren't built for it, and what Europe and allies need to do about it. https://lnkd.in/eHBtf2NN #space #spacesecurity #globalsecurity

Constellations spoke with Peter Garretson of the American Foreign Policy Council about how the next phase of space is moving from isolated satellites to interconnected systems that span orbits, sectors, and national boundaries. The architecture of space is changing, and it’s blurring the line between commercial and defense. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eHZFiGBM #Space #SpacePolicy #Satellites #GoldenDome #LEO

The space industry had a loaded week — and if you're paying attention to where the money and the hardware are moving, the picture coming into focus is striking. Golden Dome isn't just a policy vision anymore. Contracts are flowing, seats at the table are being claimed, and the Pentagon is using it to road-test a fundamentally new approach to defense acquisition. Meanwhile, SpaceX and Blue Origin both made hard pivots toward the Moon within days of each other — and the timing lines up almost perfectly with a White House order calling for a lunar return and a missile shield prototype by 2028. Coincidence? I don't think so. Add in a fresh Artemis 2 delay, a Falcon 9 reuse record, NRO expanding its commercial sensing roster, and Stoke Space stacking another $350M in capital — and you've got a week that tells you exactly where this industry is headed. The full breakdown is on the Cheat Sheet.
