“Employees who receive more than five hours of formal AI training are 12 percentage points more likely to use it regularly.” That stat made me stop, 12%, is that good or bad? Do we want higher? Not because it’s shocking, but because it reminds us that adoption isn’t about access it’s about understanding. We’ve all seen the same pattern: companies invest in shiny new tools, but only a handful of people actually use them well. The truth is, skill beats software. For financial institutions, where compliance, risk and precision matter, this isn’t about learning to “use AI” it’s about learning to think with it. So here’s the challenge: before your next big AI investment, ask have we invested enough in our people to make it work? https://lnkd.in/dXQ2RmhR #Learning #AI #FinancialServices #FitchLearning

Everyone is talking about Agentic AI right now, yet there’s a common gap between opinions and actual understanding. I wanted to close that gap by deepening my own skills through the Agentic AI course from DeepLearning.AI. Three key takeaways stood out for me: 1. Organizational principles still apply. Managing AI agents requires the same clarity of roles, delegation and accountability that drive effective human teams. 2. Clear responsibilities create structure. Whether it's for people or code. Precision drives performance. Defining configurations in Python and JSON and structuring outputs in Markdown, are essential enablers. Clear, machine-readable planning translates intent into executable action and enables reliable collaboration between AI agents. 3. Interfaces are the new org chart. In an agentic ecosystem, APIs and standards like MCPs define how agents interact, much like organizational interfaces define how teams collaborate. Well-structured connections ensure scalability and coordination. TL;DR: Agentic AI will increasingly blend leadership, design and technical orchestration. Shaping how we lead both people and intelligent systems. #AI #AgenticAI #Learning

Continuous Learning: The Real Competitive Edge in the Age of AI In today’s rapidly evolving world, one skill matters more than any other — the ability to keep learning. With AI transforming industries and automating repetitive tasks, many roles are being redefined — and in some cases, made redundant. But amid this disruption lies tremendous opportunity. The professionals who adapt, upskill, and evolve are not just surviving — they’re thriving. Whether it’s learning how to work with AI tools, mastering data-driven decision-making, or developing leadership and communication skills that technology can’t replicate — continuous learning is what keeps us relevant. 💡 Skill development is no longer optional — it’s strategic. It’s what helps you move from being replaceable to irreplaceable, from following trends to creating them. Here’s a simple reminder I often share with teams: “The pace of learning must match — or exceed — the pace of change.” So take that course, join that workshop, ask questions, experiment. Because growth doesn’t stop when you leave the classroom — it begins when you decide to stay curious. A famous quote applies here from the Greek philosopher Aristotle slightly modified “ if you don’t learn anything, don’t develop anything, you will be nothing”. #ContinuousLearning #AI #FutureOfWork #SkillDevelopment #LifelongLearning #CareerGrowth #Adaptability

Very insightful... As I continue to learn more about AI tools in L&D, it's refreshing to hear that it is still about working together with humans, not replacing them: "Finally, in 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, AI can help do more than just draft emails and reports. Working together with humans, AI can help select the right vendors for the learning ecosystem, streamline employee help desk operations, analyze, make sense of and action on different kinds of data generated in L&D, and, of course, help L&D communicate with the rest of the business."

Today's L&D is more than just content. Or at least it should be. When we think about AI in L&D, we often think about AI in learning design. Yet, to meet the needs of the business, L&D leaders need to orchestrate design, data, decisions and dialogue - incidentally, these are all things that AI can help with. In 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧, we already extensively use AI not just for content production, but also for user research, as a sparring partner and a sounding board. In 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲, AI can help make sense of business, people and skills data, or work as a thought partner to help you bridge learning and business strategy. Crucially, it can also help you engage stakeholders by preparing you for conversations and tailoring your communications to different audiences. In terms of 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭, AI interacts directly with employees to help them do their jobs: practise tricky conversations through role-plays and personalised feedback, prioritise and contextualise learning content to their needs, and, lately, retrieve exactly the information they need from almost anywhere in the company’s knowledge base. Finally, in 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, AI can help do more than just draft emails and reports. Working together with humans, AI can help select the right vendors for the learning ecosystem, streamline employee help desk operations, analyse, make sense of and action on different kinds of data generated in L&D, and, of course, help L&D communicate with the rest of the business. Researcher, producer, thought partner, communicator - if your organisation only uses AI to write scripts, you’re leaving three quarters of the L&D value chain on the table. ♻️ Share this post so more teams can explore how to get more value out of their AI use.

Learning remains the same, but AI is definitely transforming how we design, strategize, and connect. Today’s L&D leaders aren’t just content creators; they’re orchestrators of meaningful dialogues, data-driven strategies, personalized support, and seamless operations. This write-up nails it: let's not limit using AI to one option of scriptwriting; there's much more to it. Let’s unlock the full potential—more dialogue, deeper data, and true business impact. #LearningTransformation #learninganddevelopment #elearning #Edtech

AI as Your Learning Partner — Not Just a Tool In today’s world, learning isn’t limited to classrooms or textbooks — it’s powered by AI assistants that help us think deeper, summarize faster, and learn smarter. Whether you’re a student, a professional, or simply a curious mind, tools like Google NotebookLM, ChatGPT, and Gemini can transform how you absorb and apply knowledge. Here’s how you can make AI your everyday learning assistant 👇 💡 1. Upload and Contextualize Your Learning Materials Feed your PDFs, lecture notes, slides, or articles into AI tools. Let the model find connections, highlight key themes, and explain complex ideas in plain language. 🧭 2. Turn Notes into Smart Study Guides Ask: “Summarize this topic as a cheat sheet” or “Create quiz questions from this reading.” You’ll get structured, ready-to-review material in seconds. 3. Learn by Asking — Not Memorizing Instead of passively reading, talk to your notes. Ask AI to explain, compare, debate, or give examples — just like having a personal tutor 24/7. 4. Visualize and Rephrase for Better Retention Use AI to generate mind maps, analogies, or visual breakdowns. Learning sticks better when you see it differently. 5. Reflect, Validate, and Grow AI can help organize your thoughts — but you bring meaning. Always validate sources, refine answers, and connect insights back to your goals. 🌱 The Future of Learning Isn’t About Studying Harder — It’s About Learning Smarter. AI doesn’t replace curiosity or discipline — it amplifies them. Use it as your coach, research partner, and thinking companion. #AI #Learning #NotebookLM #GoogleAI #ChatGPT #Gemini #StudyTools #Productivity #AIforEducation

AI vs. Synthetic Learning: What’s Next for Organizational L&D? The conversation in learning & development has been dominated by AI — adaptive learning systems, personalized content delivery, and predictive performance analytics. But an even more transformative concept is emerging: Synthetic Learning. Here’s the difference 👇 AI in Learning AI enhances how people learn. It uses algorithms to curate, recommend, and personalize learning experiences based on data — what employees have done, what skills they need next, and how they perform. ✅ Smart recommendations ✅ Adaptive assessments ✅ Predictive learning paths Synthetic Learning Synthetic learning transforms what and who learns. It leverages AI to generate entirely new learning data and scenarios — synthetic personas, virtual role plays, and AI-created feedback loops that replicate real-world conditions without risk or bias. 🔁 Simulated workforce behavior 🧠 AI-created “learning twins” for employees 📊 Dynamic skill modeling and practice environments In short: ➡️ AI helps us learn smarter. ➡️ Synthetic learning helps us learn what doesn’t yet exist. For organizations, this shift means moving from content delivery to experience generation — from tracking completion to modeling competence. The L&D teams that adapt now won’t just train employees — they’ll build adaptive ecosystems that learn and evolve alongside them. This is how organizations merge with their L&D initiatives. #SyntheticLearning #LearningInnovation #AIDrivenLearning #LearningIntelligence #DataDrivenL&D #LearningEcosystem #SkillIntelligence #WorkforceAnalytics Heidi Carson, M.S.- Globally Remote creator and developer of the L&D accelerator.
