You don’t need another app. You need a system that talks to itself; scheduling, time-tracking, and payroll in sync. #VelocityManager #WorkforceManagement #ShiftSchedulingSoftware #PayrollAutomation #TeamProductivity #OperationsManagement #BusinessEfficiency #WorkplaceProductivity #DigitalTransformation #WorkflowOptimization #PeopleManagement #LeadershipInAction #EmployeeExperience #SmartWorkCulture #ManagerLife #SaaSForBusiness #BusinessTech #FutureOfWork #AutomationTools #TechThatWorks

9 months ago, Daniel had an idea for a tool that helps HR teams track contractor payments. He had no tech background. No co-founder. No funding. He did have a clear problem, a target customer, and $4,000. We built a simple web app. No fancy AI features. No complex dashboard. Just: submit invoice, approve invoice, track payment status. He signed his first paying client 11 days after launch. You don't need a perfect product. You need a working one.

Building something practical. An app designed to help you stay in control after payday — not just track expenses, but understand your money. Plan your spending, map your savings, and see the long-term impact of your decisions in real time. From daily expenses to investments, everything connects to one goal: clarity. Still in progress, but already solving a real problem. If you’ve ever wondered “where did my money go?” — this is for you. Still in development, but the system is already shaping into something powerful. Open to feedback from builders, designers, and anyone interested in financial systems.

I've failed at expense tracking. Four times. Downloaded apps with good intentions. Two weeks later, they're buried on page 3 of my phone. It wasn't laziness. The apps just weren't built for humans. Here's what I learned after failing (and eventually building Expenzey), Apps fail because they: 1. Demand perfection from day one 2. Automate the wrong thing (removing awareness) 3. Punish you with complexity 4. Ignore irregular spending reality 5. Make you wait for insights What actually works: 1. Track only big expenses first (₹500+) 2. Manual beats automatic (awareness > convenience) 3. Labels > categories (your words, not theirs) 4. Start small, expand later I wrote the full breakdown here: https://lnkd.in/gkGJt68Z Question: How many expense tracking apps have you downloaded and abandoned? Curious if others feel the same problem. #ExpenseTracking #PersonalFinance #ProductDesign #Expenzey

Started using #Pronto the app based service that caters to demand for customised house help. A great idea and a fantastic service if done right.. First few days of the service was great, the people assigned were very professional; did their jobs perfectly.. two weeks down the line, can’t say the same.. service personnel come late, shoddy work done and then demand top ratings!! Best of all — customer service number works sub optimally; no one to pick up the option of enquiries on bookings placed; response available only if you choose new bookings!!! Why do all such great ideas go downhill so quickly?? Maybe one of the many HR/management gurus on #LinkedIn can help understand this phenomenon…

Built a small system recently. Goal: make attendance + payroll actually usable in real environments. No installs. No employee logins (admin only). No complex setup. Just one flow that works. (Sharing a quick walkthrough below) ⚙️ OBSERVATION Most tools in this space optimize for features, not usage. Apps, logins for every user, multi-step flows — fine on paper, messy in daily operations. 🧠 INSIGHT This system is built differently: Scan → Punch → Auto-calculate → Done Compared to typical tools: no app dependency, admin-only access, no manual payroll — fewer steps, fewer failure points, faster adoption. The real difference? It’s designed for repeatability, not configuration. 💡 TAKEAWAY Systems used daily don’t need more features. They need fewer decisions. Also kept monetization simple: low cost, tied to daily usage value — not feature-heavy pricing. 💬Would you optimize for features or for daily usability? Curious how others approach this. 🌐 psynovatech.in #BuildInPublic #SystemDesign #ProductThinking #SMETech #BackendEngineering #StartupEngineering #PSynovaDigital

🚀 Launching something new for managing payroll – and keeping control in your hands. For the past few months, I’ve been building a web-based payroll management app that anyone can use for free to manage staff payments, multi-device access, and basic records — without giving up ownership of their data. 💼🧾 Here’s how it works: 📄 You simply create a Google Sheet in your own Google account and connect it to the app using a shareable link. 🔐 All sensitive data (user IDs, passwords, staff details, salaries, etc.) lives inside your Google Sheet, not on any external server. 🌐 Because the app reads and writes from that sheet, you can access the same payroll data from multiple devices using the same link. 🛑 If you remove or change the sheet link, the app instantly loses access — so you stay in full control. Why this matters: 🔁 No vendor lock-in: your payroll data is just a Google Sheet you own. 🧱 Privacy by design: the app never stores your credentials or business data on a central backend. 🧭 Simple onboarding: if local data is empty, the app guides you through a first-time setup, and there’s also a demo mode so people can explore the UI without any real data. I’ve attached a flowchart of the login and setup flow 🧠📊 that shows how the app decides when to show Setup, Login, or Dashboard, and how cloud sync via Google Sheets keeps everything in sync across devices. If you’re a small business, freelancer, or anyone who wants a lightweight, privacy-friendly way to manage payroll for free, I’d love for you to try it and share your feedback. 🙌 💬 Drop a comment or DM if you’d like: Early access A quick walkthrough The Google Sheet template + app link #PayrollManagement #GoogleSheets #SmallBusiness #HRTech #NoCode #WebApp #BuildInPublic
