Next Step Solution: Stop saving piles of receipts If you’re still keeping stacks of paper receipts in your desk, wallet, or truck… there’s an easier way. QuickBooks allows you to send receipts directly into your account so they’re automatically stored and organized digitally. You can do this by: Emailing receipts directly to QuickBooks • Uploading them through the QuickBooks mobile app • Dragging and dropping them into the receipt center Once uploaded, QuickBooks can often match the receipt to the transaction automatically, making bookkeeping much easier later. The result? ✔ No piles of paper receipts ✔ Less time searching for documentation ✔ Everything stored safely in one place Small habits like this make bookkeeping far less overwhelming over time. #QuickBooksTips #SmallBusinessTips #Bookkeeping #BusinessOrganization

I’ve been working on something new and wanted to share it with my network. I recently built a budget tracking app designed to help people better understand their finances between paychecks. The app allows you to: • Capture payroll income • Track debts and recurring obligations • Monitor spending by category • See what remains from each paycheck after expenses The goal is simple: give you a clear, real-time view of where your money is going and how much you actually have left to spend. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/ev4Q56Th Also, shoutout to @base44 for making app building incredibly simple and accessible. If you enjoy testing new tools or want better visibility into your finances, I’d love your feedback. #FinTech #Budgeting #PersonalFinance #AppDevelopment

Hot take: Budgeting apps don't actually fix overspending. Here's why: Most budgeting tools tell you what you already did. They track the damage after the fact. But the problem happens before the purchase, not after. The real issue is the 30 seconds between "I want this" and "I bought it." No app lives in that moment. No spreadsheet stops you from clicking "add to cart" at 11pm when you're tired and bored. What actually works is interrupting the decision before it becomes a habit. The 48-hour rule does that. Paying with cash instead of card does that. Removing saved card info does that. Do you agree? Or do you think budgeting apps are actually the solution? Drop your take below 👇

I’m building a 100% free invoice & bookkeeping app and I’m documenting everything publicly. No subscriptions. No hidden costs. No data tracking. Just something simple that actually helps people. Working in support roles and around small businesses, I’ve seen how frustrating bookkeeping can be especially for people with minimal tech knowledge. So I’m building an app that is: ✅ Extremely simple to use (no accounting knowledge needed) ✅ Works fully on your device (no data privacy concerns) ✅ No hassle, no setup headaches ✅ Completely FREE 📱 What it will do: • Create invoices in seconds • Track income & expenses • Simple cashbook • Store everything locally on your phone 💡 Smart feature I’m building: For Instance; Take a photo of a receipt (e.g. buying lunch for a client at McDonald’s) → The app reads it → Fills the details automatically → Generates an invoice instantly No manual typing. No confusion. This idea started from a simple handwritten note (attached below 👇) 🚀 I’m building this to: • Help people who struggle with complicated apps • Solve a real-world problem I see every day • Prove my development skills by building in public I’ll be sharing every step from idea to launch. 👉 Next: Brainstorming, Breaking down features & designing the app If you run a small business, do support work, or deal with invoices — what’s the most annoying part for you right now? #buildinpublic #appdevelopment #startup #smallbusiness #ndis #softwaredeveloper #flutter #firebase

Most budgeting apps manage the past. You open the app. And it tells you: where your money went how much you overspent which category exploded this month. Great. Except… the money is already gone. Budgets are basically financial autopsies. Analysis after the damage. And that’s why most people abandon them. Not because they’re lazy. Because the system is backwards. It assumes discipline will fix the problem. Track more. Be more careful. Pay attention next time. But willpower doesn’t scale. Systems do. The real question isn’t: “How did I spend my money?” It’s: “Where should my money go before I spend it?” That’s the idea behind Pace. Instead of tracking categories, you define money rules: Pay yourself first Automated investing No-spend weeks Saving targets Once the rules exist, the system guides behaviour. You’re not managing spending anymore. You’re designing a financial system. And good systems quietly run in the background.
