#ICC wrap-up 🔄 🚀 Celebrating our #Team Europe journey! 📌 From the selection process to success, the people behind the team’s preaparation and triumph share their thoughts and reflect on what made this year’s edition special! 🔎 Let’s have a look at their journey, shaped by cyber talent, skills and the collective drive towards a mission that reaches far beyond the competition. 👥 Every year, over 50 candidates from national cybersecurity teams across Europe take part in the selection process. “Selection isn’t just about technical skill,” notes the Team Europe coach Sanne Maasakkers. “It’s about teamwork, attitude, and balance across countries and backgrounds.” 🌍 For the coaches, the challenge is about more than just winning medals. 🥇 “It trains the mindset needed in real life, to think under pressure, cooperate across borders, and react fast when systems are under attack. These young people are building the skills that protect all of us in our daily digital lives.” said coach Pedro Adão. 🧠 Former player Carlos P., now a coach, highlighted that the competition develops the kind of specialists Europe truly needs. “This competition builds that kind of specialist thinking and it inspires young people to join the field.” 🏆Coaches Mario Polino and Jan Gocník made one thing very clear: The best teams don’t just code; they communicate; They trust their captain; They simulate strategies in advance; They win as a unit, not as individuals. Rick de Jager, one of Europe’s team captains, emphasised that team cohesion is Europe’s greatest asset. 🤝 The team invests in bootcamps, ensuring members meet in person and build trust well before the competition. Players become familiar with one another’s strengths, develop efficient communication patterns, and cultivate a culture of openness. 🌟 #ENISA Head of the Capacity Building Unit, Evangelos (Vangelis) Ouzounis, concluded: “Team Europe is a true European success story.
