Writing technical tutorials changed how I learn about systems. The moment you try to explain a workflow, tool, or deployment to someone else, you quickly discover what you actually understand and what you don’t. Teaching forces clarity. And clarity exposes gaps fast. #documentation #technicalwriting #docs #teaching

Course Ops is not proofreading. It is not watching a course and leaving comments. It is not checking if the slides look nice. Here's what it actually is: Course Ops is the work that sits between content creation and learner experience. It asks: → Is the learning progression logical? → Are practical tasks testing what was actually taught? → Are beginner and advanced content clearly separated? → Is there repetition that adds confusion instead of depth? → Does the learner always know where they are and what comes next? → Are the case studies rich enough to teach, not just illustrate? In the VA/EA course I audited, I found 30+ specific issues across 40+ modules. None of them were about bad writing. None of them were about wrong information. They were all structural. Architectural. Operational. That is Course Ops. DM me "AUDIT" to find out what that looks like for your course. #CourseOps #InstructionalDesign #OnlineCourse #CurriculumDesign #CourseCreator

Practice is the only way students improve their writing. But for writing-heavy subjects, feedback takes weeks, if it comes at all. So students stop practicing. WriteWise fixes that. Instant, annotation-based feedback calibrated to the specific NCEA standard, so students know exactly what to improve, not just that something's wrong. Whether they're up at 2am doing a late night study-sesh or sitting in class. That's what thousands of NZ students now have access to.

Ever written a date like 01/06/2026… and realised it could mean two completely different things? As I dive deeper into technical writing, I’m learning that clarity isn’t optional—it’s everything. Even something as simple as dates and times can make or break understanding. This carousel captures a few key lessons I’m picking up from Google’s style guide, writing for a global audience, avoiding ambiguity, and staying consistent. 👉 Sharing what I’m learning—swipe through. #Learningbydoing #Techwriting

Veracity vs. Voracity One letter can make a big difference! Veracity means truthfulness or honesty. To determine a statement’s veracity, you’ll need to verify its accuracy. Remember that both veracity and verify start with ‘ver’. Voracity is the quality or state of being voracious; voracious means ravenous or insatiable. If someone reads with voracity, they devour books. Which words or phrases trip you up? Comment below and let me know. -------------------------------------------------- If you’d like the peace of mind a professional proofreader can offer, DM me or email me at caragh.cooper@gmail.com. #editing #editingservices #proofreading #proofreadingservices #writingtips #ctceditingservices

The 3-Step Secret to Effective Note-Taking Many students write notes like scribes, not learners. Here is how to make your notes truly useful: 1️⃣Listen and understand first. Don’t copy blindly. 2️⃣ Summarize key points in your own words. 3️⃣ Highlight relationships, use arrows, diagrams, and keywords. When you organize your notes, you organize your thinking. Good note is not about writing everything down, but writing what truly matters. #WhemmysHub #STEMspecialist #Onlinetutor
