If you've worked with me, you know I love nothing more than gadgets and organizational tools. I'm on the hunt for software that: * Can house opportunities for volunteer work for an organization - should have robust detail capability for the posting and allow volunteers to sign-up. Ideally, allows for more than one person if the posting is set up that way. * Can house wish lists for supplies donations - not links to Amazon, etc but 1 item with robust description and then a sign-up ability. * A way in the back-end to close it out when the volunteer follows through. * A way to have a database of volunteers with information on their skillets so we can do outreach. This is a non-profit school with small admin pool (probably less than 5 people needing visibility), requesters for opportunities and supplies can be funneled to admin, but that pool is less than 50 if there's a separate roles, and then a pool of about 1000 volunteers. What you got for me?

Your fundraising volunteers aren't who they used to be (and that's a good thing). Volunteer fundraising has evolved. Today’s volunteers bring diverse skills, networks, and lived experience that go far beyond traditional event hosting or committee roles. Today's fundraising volunteers are: ✨ Running peer-to-peer campaigns that raise thousands ✨ Young professionals leveraging LinkedIn for corporate partnerships ✨ Skilled storytellers creating compelling content ✨ Data analysts optimizing your donation pages ✨ Community organizers building grassroots movements The shift is from "who you know" to "what you can do." At ViTreo, we're helping non-profits reimagine volunteer fundraising programs for this new era. The organizations winning are those treating volunteers as partners in strategy, not just executors of tasks. How is your organization evolving its volunteer fundraising model? We'd love to hear. #FundraisingVolunteers #NonprofitInnovation #InternationalVolunteerYear #ModernPhilanthropy

"Darelle Launches Pet-Focused Nonprofit Tech Platform via OneKindly" our nonprofit tech article started a conversation with a church administrator in Birmingham, UK managing a congregation of 800+ members. Tithe collection was cash and envelope-based. Event registration was a sign-up sheet passed around during service. Volunteer coordination was a phone tree. The church had no centralized database of its own members. We built a church management platform: member database with family grouping, online giving with recurring tithe options, event registration with capacity management, volunteer scheduling with role assignments, a community portal with announcements and prayer requests, sermon archive with audio and notes, and small group management. Online giving increased total tithes by 45% because members could give consistently even when they missed a Sunday. Volunteer no-shows dropped 60% with automated reminders. Event registration went from chaotic to data-driven. The administrator said: "We serve 800 families. Your platform helps us actually know and serve each one." 🔗 Read the article: swifttechco.com/#/blog 🛠️ Our Services: 💻 Digital Product & Software Development → https://lnkd.in/eh59pS9j 💰 FinTech Services → https://lnkd.in/esdKKs5T 📣 Advertising & Marketing Services → https://lnkd.in/ekFv8vpf 🏪 E-Commerce Services → https://lnkd.in/ehFb4AA3 🤝 Earn with us → swifttechco.com/#/referral #ChurchManagement #NonProfit #CommunityPlatform #OnlineGiving #SwiftTechCo

How many impactful volunteer hours go unrecognized and unfunded simply because nonprofits aren’t tapping into workplace incentive programs? It’s a familiar scene: staff scrambling to fill volunteer shifts, dedicated supporters logging hours, but the true value of that time gets lost in the busyness of nonprofit life. What many teams miss? Workplace volunteer programs that can turn every hour shared into real, additional resources. Two practical steps that make a difference right away: ✔️ Regularly let your volunteers know which companies offer paid VTO or volunteer grants. ✔️ Make it easy for volunteers to log and track their hours. What creative ways have you used to get the word out to your own volunteers about these programs?

A day in the life of a community fundraiser... If you have given school talks as a Community Fundraiser, or any job for that matter, you'll have had more technology issues than seems fair. At my school talk in Ashton School in Cork City yesterday for Focus Ireland, I had my own laptop, the teachers PC and an online backup on the go 🖥 After all that, the sound still wasn't working! 😂 Luckily, subtitles and my own laptop speakers sufficed. My own advice is not to have several other backups in case of tech failure. It is that when the tech decides to act up, there's nothing you can do. Just roll with it and trust your own presentation skills😎 #fundraising #communityfundraising #schools #technology #presentations

For the past 5 years, we have been helping COMMUNITY ACTION OF NAPA VALLEY fulfill its critical mission of feeding more than 15,000 individuals in need each month while supporting seniors and children across Napa County. This partnership has also produced some very exciting things to help non-profits everywhere, which we will be launching later this month.
For the past five years, we’ve had the opportunity to work closely with COMMUNITY ACTION OF NAPA VALLEY (CANV), supporting their Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, and CANV Kids programs through marketing, fundraising, and events. CANV’s programs rely heavily on volunteers, with more than 1,200 active volunteers each year helping bring their mission to life. It’s been real, hands-on work alongside a team serving thousands of people every month through food distribution, volunteer efforts, and community support. At that level, volunteers aren’t just helpful … they’re essential. And coordinating everything, week in and week out, takes more than good intentions. It requires strong systems, clear communication, and constant behind-the-scenes adjustment. Being part of that work, helping support campaigns, events, and even securing funding through grants, has given us a perspective you simply don’t get from the outside. It’s also what led us to start building something of our own to help nonprofits everywhere. More on that soon. #CommunityImpact #VolunteerEngagement #ElevateVolunteers #CANVCares

Still managing volunteers in spreadsheets? We see this all the time when nonprofits grow. Volunteer sign-ups live in one spreadsheet. Training progress in another. Hours tracking somewhere else. Eventually the admin work starts taking time away from the mission itself. Recently we helped a nonprofit connect their volunteer tools with Salesforce to create one clear view of engagement. The biggest change wasn’t technology. It was time gained back for the community they serve. How does your organization currently track volunteer activity?
