Kendra Siler, PhD, President and CEO of CommHIT, is featured in tomorrow’s Orlando Business Journal special section: Women Who Lead in Tech. The series celebrates Central Florida women who are shaping industry and advancing innovation. Her career began at the McKnight Brain Institute, where she researched the protection of brain cells from toxins while quietly refining approaches to protect the privacy and security of health data. Seeing a critical gap in rural care, she co founded CommHIT with David Willis, MD and established the Nation’s first rural-based health information exchange. Dr. Siler’s work intertwines research, technology, and community health—designing systems and processes that empower resource limited settings. Her advice to emerging women in tech: pursue hands on experience, lead with integrity, and make a practice of elevating your team’s achievements. Join us in honoring Dr. Kendra Siler and the remarkable women featured in this year’s Women Who Lead in Tech.
