Bipartisan legislation introduced this week reflects growing momentum around strengthening U.S. leadership in robotics and automation.   The National Commission on Robotics Act, introduced by Representatives Jay Obernolte (R-CA), Jennifer McClellan (D-VA), and Bob Latta (R-OH), would establish a national commission of experts to evaluate U.S. competitiveness in robotics and automation, including workforce readiness, supply chain resilience, manufacturing competitiveness, and broader economic and national security considerations.   At A3, we’ve been meeting with policymakers in the Executive Branch and Congress to emphasize the importance of a national robotics strategy. As the largest automation trade association representing over 1,400+ member companies across the robotics, AI, machine vision, and motion control industries, we’re encouraged by the bipartisan leadership behind this effort and see it as a positive step toward reinforcing America’s long-term competitiveness and innovation in automation. https://lnkd.in/eHD2Hkxy
