India’s deep tech ecosystem continues to gather momentum. Fabless semiconductor startup Vervesemi has raised 10 million dollars in a Series A round led by stock market investor Ashish Kacholia and Unicorn India Ventures. The round also saw participation from Roots Ventures, Caperize Fina and MAIQ Growth Scheme. The capital will power commercialization of Vervesemi’s machine learning enabled analog signal chain IC portfolio. The company is building advanced data converters along with intelligent power and sensing solutions designed for industrial, smart energy, motor control and avionics applications. Vervesemi plans to move aggressively from validation to scale. The funds will support chip production, product qualification, expansion of engineering and applications teams, and a stronger global go to market presence across Asia and the United States. Over the past year, the startup has validated its architecture in silicon, secured production engagements with multiple customers, and built an IP portfolio with more than 10 patents. For investors, this signals growing confidence in India’s ability to produce globally competitive semiconductor innovation. For the ecosystem, it marks another step toward building serious deep tech capability from the ground up. #Startups #Semiconductor #DeepTech #FundingNews #IndiaInnovation #VentureCapital

🚨US-based chipmaker #Intel believes India’s AI journey cannot simply replicate Western models, arguing that the country needs AI that is scalable, frugal and accessible across devices and sectors. In an interaction with Moneycontrol, Santhosh Viswanathan, Vice President and Managing Director for the India Region at Intel Corporation said that the company’s strategy is focused on building technology that works not just in hyperscale data centres but also at the edge — from classrooms to small businesses — making AI compute pervasive rather than concentrated. Pointing to Intel’s partnership with Tata in semiconductor manufacturing and affordable AI PCs, Santosh said the bigger opportunity lies in expanding India’s computing footprint, where household PC penetration is still under 10 percent. As the government pushes to expand GPU and data centre infrastructure, he emphasised that the real challenge is ensuring distributed, accessible infrastructure across the country —
