HCL CAMWorks creates temporary files as you work to store data during an active session. These files can accumulate over time and lead to unexpected behavior if they aren't cleared out 👎 Here's a simple process of clearing these temp files and improve the impact on performance 💡 👉 https://hubs.ly/Q0485rXB0 #cadmicro #goengineer #camworks #solidworks #cadcam

If you can only work where the CAD server is, the server owns your workflow 📍 Engineering should control the system. Not the other way around. That’s the difference between access and continuity. #CAD #3DCAD #3DEXPERIENCE #SOLIDWORKS

40% productivity loss. That’s what we consistently see when CAD capability isn’t at the expected level. Your SOLIDWORKS capability is now enhanced using SharpCAD ® SharpCAD ® helps teams avoid that slide by validating skills early and identifying where targeted training will have the biggest impact. https://lnkd.in/g8REvXHK #SharpCAD #EngineeringSkills #CADDesign #RealSkills #Solidworks #MechanicalDesign #DesignAssessment #HiringTools #EngineeringTeams #TechnicalHiring #CADAssessment #BlueprintThinking #AltissimoConsulting

From CAD to currents — learning flow simulation with SolidWorks. I designed a Pelton wheel, set up the flow study, and used contour plots and streamlines to understand jet–bucket interaction, velocity distribution, and wake behavior. This video + photo carousel captures the modeling, meshing, solver setup, and post‑processing steps that turned theory into visual insight. Sharing this to document the learning curve, celebrate the small wins, and connect with others exploring CFD and turbine design. 1️⃣ Can SOLIDWORKS open the 3D data? 2️⃣ Do the parts appear like steel profiles? 👉 If both answers are "yes" ✅, the DSTV Assistant for SOLIDWORKS can more than likely automatically identify the parts and machining operations, and generate DSTV NC / NC1 data in no time! 🚀 🔍 In the screenshot: Dark gray parts ⏩️ A STEP import. The rectangular tube ⏩️ A native SOLIDWORKS part. The L-profiles ⏩️ SolidSteel parametric parts. Curious how it works with your own data? 📩 Contact us and we'll be happy to run a test! #dstvassistant #ncdata #dstvncdata #solidworks #steeldesign #automation #engineering #SmartSteelWorkflows

Geneva Mechanism – Motion Study and Simulation (SolidWorks) In this screen recording, I’ve demonstrated how to set up a motion study for a Geneva mechanism in SolidWorks to visualize its intermittent motion. Where is the Geneva Mechanism used? The Geneva mechanism is commonly used in applications that require intermittent motion, such as: • Indexing tables in manufacturing • Film projectors • Packaging and automation systems Working Principle A continuously rotating drive wheel engages with the slots of the Geneva wheel, causing it to rotate in steps with periods of rest in between. Assembly and Mates Used • Concentric mates – for aligning rotating components • Coincident mates – for positioning • Cam – to guide the driven wheel motion • Motor in motion study – to drive the input wheel The motion study helps in clearly visualizing: • Step-by-step rotation • Dwell period (no motion phase) • Interaction between driver and driven wheel This project helped me understand how mechanisms are used to convert continuous motion into controlled intermittent motion, which is widely used in automation systems. #SolidWorks #MechanicalEngineering #CADDesign #MechanismDesign #MotionStudy #GenevaMechanism

Final_v2 Final_v3 Final_USE_THIS_ONE When CAD file naming becomes your revision system, you don’t have data control. You have hope. And hope is not a workflow. An engineering-focused data storage platform is. That’s the difference between file storage and data control. #CAD #3DCAD #3DEXPERIENCE #SOLIDWORKS
