The Marvel Cinematic Universe hasn’t felt the same since Endgame—and fans are still debating why. In this Boss Rush Podcast clip, Corey Dirrig and LeRon Dawkins reflect on the evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, from the hype of early phases to the perceived overload and direction changes in Phases 4 and 5. The conversation revisits the impact of early MCU storytelling, including the build-up to The Avengers, and contrasts it with the post-Endgame era beginning with films like Spider-Man: Far From Home and Black Widow. The hosts discuss release strategy decisions, pandemic-era distribution changes, and growing fan fatigue with expanding Disney+ content tied to Marvel Studios and Disney+. They also touch on divisive projects like Eternals, Secret Invasion, and Thunderbolts, and how audience expectations have shifted over time. #BossRushPodcast #BRPLive #MCU #MarvelCinematicUniverse #MarvelStudios #AvengersEndgame #PopCulture #SuperheroMovies

Hollywood’s Summer 2026 slate may become one of the most important theatrical tests in years. Major studios are relying heavily on established brands including Superman, Spider-Man, Masters of the Universe and Moana to reignite cinema attendance and audience excitement. The question is simple: can blockbuster cinema still unite audiences the way it once did? New analysis from Screen One: https://lnkd.in/eQ-MrD-a

Viewed one way, The Mandalorian And Grogu’s estimated $145m global launch represents a weak start – below the opening numbers for other Star Wars titles. Viewed another way, it is a big-screen spinoff of a Disney+ TV series, is thus of interest essentially to that show’s fans, and is doing just fine. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eBAnh8XD

The majors are finally catching on to the vibe we’ve been cultivating at Siingle: smart, original, adult-oriented stories are the real move. A24’s ‘The Drama’ just pulled a solid $14M, proving that when you mix star power like Zendaya and Robert Pattinson with a bold script, people show up. Even Warner Bros. is trying to keep up with the ‘indie edge’ by launching their new specialty label, Clockwork. Their first play? Sean Baker’s next project, ‘Ti Amo!’. It’s funny watching the big studios pivot to what we’ve always known: audiences are craving stories that actually feel like something. WB is essentially building a label to match the energy we’re already putting out into the world. We see you, Clockwork. Thanks for validating the mission. Whether it’s a $14M indie-style hit or a specialty studio play, the trend is clear: original voices are the new premium. We’re just glad the rest of the industry is starting to see the vision. #IndieFilm #FilmIndustry #Storytelling #atSiingle

The most extraordinary experience of Richard Garriott's life would make a terrible video game. Eight and a half minutes from sitting still on the ground to floating in orbit. He calls it one of the most pinnacle experiences a person can have. And as a game designer, he's the first to admit it wouldn't translate. There's not much to see. What makes it unforgettable is the g-force, the weight of the moment, the knowledge of where you are and what's underneath you. None of that survives a screen. The lesson: Some experiences can't be simulated. They have to be felt. Episode 3 of #StayTuned: Seekers & Disruptors with Rob Garf and Dave Finnegan, filmed live at The Explorers Club in NYC. Could video game movies become Hollywood’s next big obsession? 🎮 🎥 🎙️ In this clip from The Boss Rush Podcast, LeRon Dawkins and I react to a listener question about whether game adaptations are heading toward the same cultural boom we saw with comic book movies. We break down why films like The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Sonic the Hedgehog are actually working, while others like Tomb Raider and Resident Evil struggle to stay consistent. We also look ahead at upcoming projects like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, and talk about whether video game IPs can ever hit the same unified “mega-universe” level as Marvel or DC, or if they’re just too scattered to ever fully get there. #BRPLive #BossRushPodcast #SuperMarioGalaxyMovie #SonicTheHedgehog #VideoGameMovies #MCU #DCU #VideoGameAdaptations

Is Evangeline Lilly right about AI replacing artists at Marvel Studios? #EvangelineLilly #MarvelStudios #Disney Evangeline Lilly criticized Marvel Studios and parent The Walt Disney Company over recent layoffs impacting creative teams. Art of design Ozark is one of the greatest of tv series in existence to me so far. Everything about it was just nice and deeply refreshing. Breaking bad, Prison Break and all those Peaky blinders are cool but Netflix did something with Ozark. The first time I watched it, I told everyone I knew had an eye for good movies and shows about it. Most of then didn't SEE it, I guess they were too caught up on Game of Thrones. Years later, all those guys now keep texting and calling saying that they now SEE what I was saying. Once in a while, just like yourself, one in 8 billion you stumble upon a show that changes the whole trajectory of your life. I would say turns your life upside down but maybe more like it turns you inside out. This is the type of program you cannot just suggest to anyone and everyone. Its too personal lets say, it feels like it's your personal journal but now as a show. Exposes something inside you, you didn't quite know you had. Find time, go watch Abstract: The Art of Design on Netflix. I will tell you what I SAW after you have SEEN it. Nice time.

Do you think the MCU peaked with Endgame, or is Phase 4 and beyond just misunderstood rather than overextended?
