🔷 Could digital twins, LiDAR, and virtual walkthroughs create more value for paint and coatings teams? 🔷 🧰 These tools seem to be gaining traction in construction, design, and facility documentation. 🚧 But I think there may be real opportunity on the paint and coatings side as well — especially on larger commercial and industrial projects. Not just for estimating, but for helping teams with things like: 📍 reviewing scope more clearly before quoting 📍 documenting existing conditions before work begins 📍 identifying access, staging, and sequencing challenges 📍 improving communication between owners, consultants, contractors, and applicators 📍 supporting future maintenance and repair planning This may not be standard in our part of the industry yet. 💡 But on larger jobs, better visibility upstream can help reduce surprises downstream. For paint and coatings, the opportunity may be less about replacing site visits — and more about improving documentation, coordination, and planning before the work starts. 📐 Tools from companies like Matterport, Leica, iGUIDE® by Planitar, and RealSee are already helping shape the broader conversation around digital twins, virtual walkthroughs, and reality capture.
