🚀 Excited to share a powerful update in Microsoft Power Apps! Model-driven apps can now live directly inside Microsoft 365 Copilot conversations — across Word, Outlook, Teams, and more. 🤯 I recently built a model-driven app and tested it within Copilot, and the experience is truly seamless. 🔹 No need to switch between multiple tabs 🔹 Access real-time business data inside your daily tools 🔹 Create and update records using simple prompts For example, inside Word, instead of manually copying business data into the app, I can now just open Copilot, select my app, and prompt it to create or update records instantly. In Outlook, I can even fetch or create records directly from email context — making workflows faster and smarter. This is a big step toward conversational business applications where your apps are no longer separate — they are part of your everyday work experience. 💡 Truly a game-changer for productivity and user experience! As part of the March 9 Frontier Transformation announcements, Microsoft unveiled Apps in Agents—a powerful new way to bring apps like Power Apps and Dynamics 365 directly into Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. This lets users view, interact with, and take action in apps without ever leaving the conversation. 🚀 What makes this possible? Two key innovations: • Model Context Protocol (MCP) Apps • OpenAI Apps SDK These tools are now generally available, providing development teams a structured, secure way to connect the apps organizations rely on to agents in Copilot. Copilot chat just got app-powered UI (MCP Apps are here) 🚨 Copilot chat is no longer “just text.” It can now host real app experiences. Microsoft announced MCP Apps (and the OpenAI Apps SDK) now work inside Microsoft 365 Copilot chat—so agents can bring interactive, HTML-based UI right into the conversation. 🧩 What clicking the link gets: ✅ How agents can show tables, forms, dashboards, maps, diagrams, and rich media inline ✅ Why sandboxed iFrame rendering matters for secure in-chat experiences 🔒 ✅ How Work IQ adds org context (meetings, emails, data) to turn chat into end-to-end workflows ✅ Real partner examples: expense receipt matching, Power Apps visualizations, Figma/Canva/Adobe Express creation flows, Coursera learning resources Big takeaway: users can take action without switching apps—keep context, confirm inputs, and complete workflows directly in Copilot chat. ⚡ Worth a read for anyone building copilots, agents, or enterprise automations. https://lnkd.in/eSsV-f8Z #Microsoft365 #Copilot #AIAgents #MCP #Developer

In February, Microsoft retired #MicrosoftDesigner in Teams. The feature is now back as Designer tools in #CopilotChat, available to both Copilot Basic and Premium users across supported Microsoft 365 apps. The Designer tools should give users guided ways to adjust visual outputs and fine-tune prompts without starting from scratch each time. https://topedia.net/c1JtBD

The apps your field techs use every day just got a lot smarter. Microsoft's Power Apps update is one I've been anticipating — and for our clients running Field Service and Business Central, it changes the conversation around AI adoption. Your service app isn't just a form anymore. With Microsoft 365 Copilot now embedded directly in model-driven apps, technicians can ask natural-language questions against live data, get instant summaries of work order history, and have incoming emails auto-populate case forms — all without leaving the app they already use. What really moves the needle for our clients: the Power Apps MCP Server. The business logic your team has spent years building — escalation rules, entitlement checks, parts inventory thresholds — can now power agents that operate under those same rules. Your IP becomes your AI's foundation. And the Agent Feed launching May 4th means your supervisors stay in control. Agents handle the repetitive. Humans approve what matters. Nothing enters the system without a review step. This is the architecture we've been building toward. If you're evaluating your next phase of AI investment in Field Service or BC, let's talk about what this makes possible. 🔗 Full blog in comments. #FieldService #BusinessCentral #PowerPlatform #MicrosoftAI #Dynamics365 #ManufacturingAI #CentricConsulting

OpenAI Workspace Agents (rolling out April 22 - ongoing): Now available for ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Education users. These agents automate repeatable workflows across connected apps (e.g., Slack, Gmail, Google Drive, SharePoint), gather context, request approvals, and improve over time. They represent a shift toward autonomous task completion rather than just assistance, with templates or custom builds supported.
