I’m incredibly grateful for the experience I had at this year’s Women’s Leadership Conference: Amplifying Your Influence. I especially appreciate my colleague and employee advocate, Mackenzie Rackley, for encouraging us to step outside the bubble of education and connect with inspiring leaders across industries. I was struck by the thoughtfully curated workshops addressing topics that deeply impact women in leadership: from high-performance burnout and how we avoid it, to the art of the career pivot. What made the experience even more meaningful was sharing it alongside my colleagues, Erin Cole, Savannah Johnson, and Dania Borrero.

This month has been a powerful reminder of what happens when women lift each other up. 💜 I had the privilege of attending a Women’s Leadership Conference — a space filled with bold voices, honest conversations, and the kind of energy that makes you walk away ready to lead and engage differently. The next week I attended the E3 Twin Cities International Women’s Day celebration centered around the theme of Give to Gain — and it couldn’t have been more fitting. The most impactful leaders in that room weren’t those who held the most; they were the ones who gave the most — their time, their knowledge, their mentorship, and their courage to open doors for others and invite them to the table. The through-line across both events was clear: when women invest in one another, everyone rises. I’m reflecting on these experiences with a renewed commitment to give more — more support, more visibility, more opportunities — to the women around me. Because that’s how we all gain. One powerful activity we facilitated was Leadership Journey Mapping — a tool that invites participants to explore their lived experiences, cultural identities, values, and leadership roles. Through this process, participants identified both the supports that lifted them and the barriers they’ve navigated — while envisioning their future as leaders. This is more than an activity.
