Airbus Defence and Space’s Post

The Royal Thai Air Force has acquired two Airbus #C295 aircraft in tactical transport configuration. To be operated by the 46th Wing Division of the Royal Thai Air Force from the Phitsanulok air base, these aircraft will enhance Thailand’s defence capabilities. The delivery of the first aircraft is scheduled to take place in the first half of 2029. Thailand already has three C295s operated by the Royal Thai Army, performing cargo and troop transport missions since 2016, and it is one of the seven countries in Asia-Pacific that operates the C295.

Excellent momentum for the Royal Thai Air Force as they modernize their tactical transport fleet. The addition of these two C295 aircraft reinforces Thailand’s position as a key operator in the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring rapid response capabilities for both defense and humanitarian missions
