As a parent of GenZ kids who were the guinea pigs for social media companies over the last 10 years ... I'm glad to see our legal system is finally holding social media companies accountable. Here's an idea for our newest technology ... instead of waiting to see what AI will do to intellectual property rights, the workforce, possible mass surveillance, security... maybe we should put up some common sense guardrails like the EU did with the EU AI Act? Oh.. but wait... the same players behind social media have an army of lobbyists in Sacramento and D.C. to block common sense guardrails. Maybe we'll need to wait another 10 years, after we see the damage.
