AI giant has signed agreement with the US department of war. As expected, it will significantly contribute to mass surveillance and weapon movements, helping the government being more authoritarian. The similar incident will be no matter of wonder in China, Russia and deep states. Human civilization is in a critical juncture of uncalculated threats. AI is not gonna be an innovation. Rather, a sea of algorithm of destruction in the disguise of convenience and efficiency. Brutal! https://lnkd.in/gSapqJqp

🚫 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝗰𝗼𝘁𝘁 𝗔𝗜: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵 A massive backlash is brewing after OpenAI's controversial military contract. Are users really ready to pull the plug on the world's most popular chatbot over ethical lines? ⬇️ 📉 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗳𝗳 The controversy started when Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei refused to grant the US Department of Defence unrestricted access to its AI systems. Citing ethical concerns over 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 and 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀, the firm risked losing a lucrative 𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 contract rather than loosening its safety guardrails. 🤝 𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹 Hours after negotiations broke down, Sam Altman announced that OpenAI had swooped in and struck its own agreement to deploy models within 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀. This immediate pivot sparked outrage, with critics accusing the firm of putting 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆. 🛑 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝗰𝗼𝘁𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵 In response, an online campaign known as QuitGPT has exploded, claiming that over 𝟭.𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 have taken action by canceling subscriptions. The movement is actively urging users to switch to 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿-𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻-𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 (like Claude or Gemini) while strictly advising against platforms like Grok. #QuitGPT might be more important than the #TeslaTakedown. ChatGPT has agreed to give the Pentagon unrestricted access to its tech, which could be used for mass surveillance and autonomous weapons. Quitting ChatGPT takes 10 seconds, and alternatives are as good if not better. https://lnkd.in/g_Fir7PF

The most dangerous weapon America could build right now is an AI system it cannot trust. The Trump administration blacklisting Anthropic from Pentagon contracts because the company insisted on ethical guardrails is not a national security win. It is a national security catastrophe in slow motion. While OpenAI races to sign defense deals and Anthropic gets punished for asking hard questions, we are watching something deeply troubling unfold: the systematic removal of the only people in the room willing to say "wait." 2.5 million users launched the #QuitGPT boycott. An OpenAI robotics executive resigned over surveillance concerns. These are not fringe reactions. These are warning signals from people who understand what is actually being built. Here is the uncomfortable truth: an AI weapon you cannot fully predict, explain, or override is not a strategic advantage. It is a liability dressed in a uniform. Every major military failure in history shares a common thread: systems that moved faster than human judgment could keep pace with. We are about to repeat that mistake at algorithmic speed. The real arms race is not between the U.S. and China. It is between deployment velocity and accountability. Right now, accountability is losing. Punishing companies for building responsibly while rewarding those who skip the hard questions is not strength. It is recklessness with a budget. What happens when the first uncontrollable military AI system makes a decision no human authorized? #ArtificialIntelligence #AIEthics #NationalSecurity #ResponsibleAI #TechPolicy

After protests from both users and employees who did not sign up to support government mass surveillance—early reports show that ChaptGPT uninstalls rose nearly 300% after the company announced the deal—Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, conceded that the initial agreement was “opportunistic and sloppy": OpenAI’s Pentagon Deal Won’t Stop AI‑Powered Surveillance https://lnkd.in/e3Qrvuvk

As a parent of GenZ kids who were the guinea pigs for social media companies over the last 10 years ... I'm glad to see our legal system is finally holding social media companies accountable. Here's an idea for our newest technology ... instead of waiting to see what AI will do to intellectual property rights, the workforce, possible mass surveillance, security... maybe we should put up some common sense guardrails like the EU did with the EU AI Act? Oh.. but wait... the same players behind social media have an army of lobbyists in Sacramento and D.C. to block common sense guardrails. Maybe we'll need to wait another 10 years, after we see the damage.

Claude AI is now the top U.S. free app after Anthropic rejected Pentagon demands. Anthropic’s Claude officially captured the number one spot on the U.S. Apple App Store’s free chart on February 28, surpassing OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The surge in downloads follows Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei's decision to reject a Pentagon ultimatum demanding unrestricted military access, as the company refused to allow its models to be used for mass domestic surveillance or fully autonomous weapons. Consequently, the U.S. government canceled Anthropic's $200 million contract and labeled the firm a supply-chain risk, prompting a wave of public support from users who chose to boycott OpenAI after it subsequently secured its own Department of Defense agreement. #ClaudeAI #Anthropic #AppStore https://lnkd.in/gZ5YYZZZ
