Education is being rewritten by generative AI. Every student can now have a personal tutor available 24/7. This isn’t cheating—it’s capability expansion. Here’s the current reality: 📚 65% students use AI for learning. 🧠 Personalized paths improve scores. ⚠️ Assessment models must change. Teachers are becoming mentors, not information sources. This highlights a social challenge: how do we measure real learning? What’s better—memorization or AI-assisted thinking? #EdTech #AIinEducation #FutureSkills #FinalLayer #FinalLayerContest Source: https://lnkd.in/g4-cZDtg

Stop Banning AI. Start Teaching Critical Thinking. 🧠 The train has left the station. 🚂 Trying to prohibit Generative AI in the classroom is a losing battle—and a disservice to the future workforce. As Dr. Jeff Crume argues, we need to treat AI like the calculator: a tool that handles the computation so we can focus on the concepts. The Future of Education isn't rote memorization; it's about: ✅ Adaptability: Solving problems that don't have a textbook answer. ✅ Critical Thinking: Being the judge of the AI's output. ✅ Personalization: Using AI as an infinitely patient tutor. If we want students to compete in the modern era, we can't train them for the past. It’s time to embrace the upgrade. cc: @JeffCrume #AIinEducation #GenerativeAI #EdTech #FutureOfWork #CriticalThinking #DigitalTransformation #Innovation #IBM https://lnkd.in/dSzJiHwM

An experiment in using AI for education took an unexpected turn. Giving students AI tools to answer questions was intended to enhance learning. Instead, many students used AI to simply generate answers without true understanding, leading to poor test results and frustration for everyone involved. ReachEveryStudent.com This highlights a critical challenge: how do we leverage new technologies like AI to foster genuine learning, rather than enabling superficial shortcuts? #EdTech #AIinEducation #Learning #Teaching #FutureofLearning

Day 3 Workshop | Prompt Engineering & Generative AI The session focused on understanding how Generative AI works internally and how prompt engineering shapes its responses. Students learned that Generative AI does not “think” like humans. Instead, it: Breaks language into tokens Uses patterns from training data Applies probability and mathematical logic Predicts the next most meaningful word This process was explained as the inner working of generative models — where every output is the result of: ➡ Data ➡ Algorithms ➡ Context ➡ Mathematical reasoning The second part of the session introduced Prompt Engineering as a way to guide this intelligence. Participants understood that: A prompt is not just a question It is a strategy given to AI Clear prompts lead to clear thinking Structured prompts create structured answers They were shown how good prompts include: ✔ Goal ✔ Context ✔ Constraints ✔ Expected output format By practicing different prompts, students saw how changing the wording: Changed the quality of answers Improved reasoning Reduced confusion Produced more useful results Key Insight: Generative AI provides intelligence. Prompt engineering provides direction. The session highlighted that mastering prompts is essential to make AI behave like an assistant, planner, and problem solver, preparing students for Agentic AI and automation in later modules. #PromptEngineering #GenerativeAI #AIWorkshop #LLM #AgenticAI #FutureSkills #MachineIntelligence #KLENagarbhavi #AIStudents

A reflection on the impact of AI in education Lately, I’ve been having conversations, both at work and in college, about the role AI is playing in education. Opinions are clearly divided. Some argue that students’ reliance on AI is weakening their ability to think critically and analyze problems independently. On the other hand, I’ve heard compelling perspectives on how AI can be a powerful ally: helping generate new ideas, identify gaps in our reasoning, challenge assumptions, and ultimately strengthen our ability to argue and defend our viewpoints. I think educational institutions need to adapt to the AI era rather than resist it. The focus shouldn’t be on banning or avoiding AI, but on rethinking teaching methods so that these tools elevate learning instead of becoming shortcuts. Used intentionally, AI can push students to a higher level of thinking, not replace it. I recently came across this YouTube video from an AI expert that offers a very insightful perspective on this topic, and I wanted to share it here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/eG4z8iuW What do you think? Is AI an obstacle to intellectual development, or a vehicle that can take education to the next level? #ArtificialIntelligence, #Education, #FutureOfLearning, #CriticalThinking
