21 food and beverage companies have partnered with Mad Agriculture in support of something we believe in: Wilding. Wilding is an innovative regenerative agriculture framework. It integrates native prairies, riparian buffers, and perennial plantings into working agricultural landscapes, starting with the acres already underperforming; rebuilding water quality, biodiversity, and soil health so the land that feeds us can also sustain the ecosystems it depends on. This illustration is the first glimpse of the Wild Grid: a living map of what reconnected American farmland could look like. Over the next three weeks, we will zoom out from the species and habitats that anchor it, to the regional corridors that connect them, to the full continental vision. Follow along as the picture grows. A 3-year pilot is launching now in Wisconsin's Driftless Region. If you want to understand the full vision, the White Paper is the place to start >> https://lnkd.in/ee4tWA-Z White paper written by Dan Kane and Omar de Kok-Mercado. Wilding rebuilds ecological infrastructure: habitat, pollinators, water filtration, biodiversity, and resilience. The next opportunity is helping these plantings establish faster, especially in the first 12 to 24 months when young native and perennial plants are most vulnerable. The future is not more inputs or fewer inputs. It is better biological function across the productive acres, marginal acres, and restored ecological acres working together. We’ll help.

Wonderful that projects like this are happening. I recently saw the documentaries "Common Ground" and "Wilding." They're breaths of fresh air of ways for us to be better to nature :)
