It's been two weeks since I launched this.live and beacon.this.live. Things are already happening! Since launch I've learned a lot. Some of those learnings include: - Visibility is everything. When new users visit a page that immediately serves a login or paywall, they leave. - SEO, AEO, and organic marketing is hard. - Markets think software companies are doomed. The optimistic updates include: - this.live has investor meetings lined up that are interested in our vision - We have beacon.this.live up and functional with another product on the way - I'm having the most fun I've ever had playing with these systems and trying to find a way to democratize access to them. On Beacon - Users are no longer paywalled to see features! Free users and guest users can just explore, free users/guests can still get 3 free leads/day. Actions on the platform like bulk lead generation, generating websites, automated outreach, etc. are now what triggers the paywall. Small change but big fix for visibility. Now people just looking to explore what Beacon has to offer can do so - please provide some feedback if you do explore! Our roadmap has end-to-end API integration for agents to be able to execute the entire lead generation process autonomously. I built a small side project to automate local lead generation from Google Maps. The idea was simple: When doing outreach for small businesses, the first step is always the same: finding relevant local companies and collecting their contact information. So I built a tool that: • extracts businesses (whatever it is) from Google Maps   • collects phone numbers, websites and emails (when available)   • filters leads by rating or contact availability   • generates simple outreach messages using AI   • exports everything into a clean CSV / JSON It can run either from the CLI or from a small local web interface. Everything runs locally on your machine. No SaaS, no accounts, no subscriptions. I mainly built it as a personal automation tool, but I decided to release it in case it’s useful to others doing local outreach or lead generation.
