National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3Rs)’s Post

The NC3Rs and Only Good Antibodies community (OGA) community are recruiting Antibody Champions to address the significant waste of animals in the production and use of poorly characterised and inadequately performing antibodies. Over a 12-month training programme, early career researchers will develop skills to drive the use of higher-quality antibodies within their institutions and local research communities. 💡 Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eCJ_VGPb Antibody Champions will have the opportunity to: ▪ Work with national organisations to help drive meaningful change in research culture. ▪ Demonstrate scientific leadership and engagement beyond the bench. ▪ Expand your professional network. ▪ Receive in-person training on communication and influencing delivered by professional leadership trainers Inspire Change Ltd.  ▪ Access a technical expert mentor in antibody validation (including experts from AstraZeneca, YCharOS Inc. and OGA). Applicants are not expected to already be experts in antibody validation – we are looking for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from academia or industry who are motivated to drive change in research culture, improve research quality and minimise animal use.

  • Early career researchers in discussion at a scientific training session.

Applications are closing this Friday (6 March). If you are interested in becoming an Antibody Champion, complete the short (~10 minute) online application today to tell us why you would make a great champion and your current experiences of working with antibodies and promoting best scientific practice: https://nc3rs.org.uk/only-good-antibodies-nc3rs-antibody-champions-scheme
